OVERVIEW
This two-owner 1990 Jaguar XJ-S is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering and brakes, air conditioning with a new compressor and an R-134a conversion, cruise control, a JVC AM/FM/CD stereo, power windows, and a power antenna. Finished in Diamond Blue Metallic and equipped with a dark blue power soft top over an Isis Blue leather interior, this Jaguar comes with recent service records, owner's manuals, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior is reportedly finished in the original factory-applied Diamond Blue Metallic (code JFN). Features include chrome bumpers with black impact trim, U.S.-spec headlights, dual mirrors, side impact moldings, a dark blue cloth power convertible top, and a power antenna. The seller states that the top has a small tear that can be repaired. A walk-around video can be seen below.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of silver 15-inch cross-laced Jaguar alloy wheels is wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The seller states that the tires were replaced in August 2020.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The bucket seats are upholstered in Isis Blue leather (code JEF). Features include power steering and windows, a center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, wood accents, a JVC AM/FM/CD stereo, air conditioning, a driver-side airbag, cruise control, and a blue convertible top boot.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer, a 7,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. The odometer reads 72,500 miles, which the seller reports to be accurate. The last mileage figure of 70,484 miles was logged in the CARFAX report on January 6, 2022.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 5.3-liter V12 and backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. The hood struts, the engine's front seals, the cooling hoses, the distributor, and the spark plug wires have been replaced. Engine output was 262 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque when new. The factory air conditioning system has been converted to R-134a refrigerant and comes with a new compressor, pump, dryer, filter, and expansion valve.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Jaguar was factory-equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power four-wheel discs. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
This Jaguar was previously sold on AutoHunter, but it is being relisted after the buyer backed out of the transaction through no fault of the seller. The CARFAX report starts on June 18, 1990 and shows an accident-free history in Illinois, Wisconsin, and California across two owners. According to the seller, the original owner had the car titled in Wisconsin and Illinois. They have posted two videos below that show the car starting up, an exterior tour, the convertible top being raised, and a road test. Recent service records and owner's manuals will come with the purchase of the car.
