Vehicle Story

This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro has been with the seller for over 3 years and was the recipient of an extensive build inclusive to all areas of the car. Power is sent to the rear wheels by a custom-built 389ci small-block V8 paired with a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and put to the ground by way of a 10-bolt rear differential through a newer set of tires. Features include a complete aftermarket adjustable suspension, a new fuel system, a custom stereo system, power steering, power brakes, a refreshed interior, and more. The sale of this 1967 Camaro comes with an uninstalled collection of spare parts, a spare tire, a car cover, a garage floor mat, and a clean North Carolina title in the seller's name.

Finished in Hugger Orange with chrome and stainless trimmings and white racing stripes over the hood and trunk lid, the car was given a respray in 2008 while under prior ownership. The hood is a functional cowl induction piece and additional exterior features include a rear spoiler, side vent windows for 1967 Camaros only, chrome dual exhaust tips, and all-new body mounting pucks. A car cover is included in the sale and the seller notes that the motor for the windshield wipers and horn are currently not in working order.

Power steering is equipped to handle a set of 5-spoke SS-badged wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A's with approximately 500 miles of use over power-assisted aftermarket Wilwood Dynalite Pro Series front disc brakes. Calvert Racing traction bars are fitted and the stock suspension has been swapped out for a custom and fully adjustable system with parts from Viking and BMR.

The bucket seat interior is outfitted in two-toned black vinyl and orange houndstooth cloth upholstery with black vinyl dash and door panels over black "Camaro SS" embroidered carpeting. A complete interior refreshment was conducted in 2008 including the addition of the aftermarket Bluetooth-equipped stereo system while under prior ownership while the seller has also added a Hurst 4-speed shifter to the center console. Note that the cigarette lighter is the only component reported to be non-functional at the moment.

Instrumentation is framed by a custom 4-spoke steering wheel and consists of a full set of white-faced Autometer dials including a 160-mph speedometer and 10k-rpm tachometer along with gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, battery voltage, and oil pressure. The seller reports approximately 3,000 miles have been put on the new engine; 7,627 miles are currently showing on the odometer.

Power comes from a custom-built 389ci small-block Chevrolet stroker V8 paired with a Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission. The engine was dynamometer tested to produce 586hp at 6,500 rpm and comes complete with a Wilson ported intake manifold, AFR cylinder heads, an aluminum Holley 750cfm 4-barrel carburetor, Doug's Headers, and a custom bottom end with a list of components detailed in the image gallery.

Modified suspension components can be found on the underside along with a 10-bolt rear end equipped with limited-slip and 3.08:1 gearing. Viking parts were used for both the front and rear suspension along with BMR A-arms and a 1.25-inch front sway bar.

A comprehensive list of parts used is shown in the gallery along with photos of the build in progress. Additional photos and details have been made available for viewing in the image gallery. Sale includes an uninstalled collection of spare parts, a spare tire, a car cover, and a garage floor mat.
