Vehicle Story

This 1970 Ford F250 "Highboy" 4x4 pickup has a rust-free, repainted body and has been customized with a lifted suspension, Mickey Thompson tires, and a 360ci V8 paired with an aftermarket 4-speed manual transmission and a transfer case. It is outfitted with brightwork, a sliding glass rear window, a newer stereo, and a built-in fire extinguisher. Refinished in red over a burgundy cloth interior, this fifth-generation F-Series truck is now offered with a clear title in the seller’s name.

Building on the previous full-size F-Series chassis, the 1967 body style marked the model’s fifth generation and grew in size, trim levels, and engine offerings. A mid-cycle update was carried out in 1970 with a new grille, wraparound turn signals, and side marker lights. Four-wheel drive models took on the "Highboy" nickname as a result of Ford’s promotional literature calling the pickup a “factory high rider.” This 1970 F250 has a rust-free body that was repainted red under prior ownership. Features include a chrome front bumper, bodyside moldings, aluminum side steps, and a sliding rear window.

Polished aluminum wheels are mounted inside of Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ raised-white-letter tires.

The cab interior features a reupholstered and tear-free burgundy cloth bench seat matched to the door panels, dash pad, carpeting, and floor mats. Amenities include a modern stereo, pedal covers, a custom steering wheel, tinted windows, and a fire extinguisher mounted in the passenger-side kick panel.

Instrumentation includes a sweeping 100-mph speedometer along with auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. The 5-digit mechanical odometer reads just under 37K miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

The 360ci V8 transfers power to all four wheels via a transfer case and an aftermarket 4-speed manual transmission and rear end.
