OVERVIEW
This customized 1963 Ford F100 is a unibody short-bed pickup that moves under the power of a Chevrolet 454ci big-block V8 mated to a Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission. It has been treated to upgrades including a diamond plate bed cover, mag wheels with new tires, auxiliary gauges, and a custom radiator. Finished in satin black over a gray cloth interior, this F100 is now offered with service documentation and a clear Utah title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
This F100 short-bed truck has been repainted satin black. The windshield was replaced recently. The bed is both capped and lined with diamond plate aluminum covers. Features include a bumper guard with auxiliary lighting, a polished exhaust outlet, and a bumper-mounted tow hitch. The seller notes that there are some stone chips that have been touched up.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Multi-spoke aluminum wheels with red pockets are wrapped in new tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cab is fitted with a gray patterned cloth 60/40 split-bench seat, contrasted by black lap belts, carpeting, and floor mats. The dash, door panels, and headliner are accented with diamond plate material. Updates include a custom steering wheel and a radio.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation is housed within a bright bezel and includes a 100-mph speedometer, tachometer, and under-dash auxiliary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 55K miles, which the seller believes to be original to the truck although the actual mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The upgraded Chevrolet 454ci big-block V8 was serviced in May of 2022 and is equipped with Ed Pink connecting rods, a custom radiator, and a new battery. The seller estimates that the drivetrain has accrued 18,000 miles since installation. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission and an eight-bolt rear axle.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The suspension uses an F-250 front axle.
