Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1995 BMW 840Ci is a German-built luxury coupe that has been driven 60K miles since new and is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. It was with the most recent owner for five years and features newer-model 18-inch wheels, an upgraded rear diffuser, and a wing. Finished in Black over a black leather interior, this E31 8 Series is now offered by the selling dealer with service records, a tool kit, a factory spare tire, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

This low-mileage Black (2) 840Ci pillarless coupe has an aerodynamic treatment that includes a chin spoiler, a rear deck spoiler with an LED brake lamp, and an upgraded rear diffuser from the BMW 850CSi. Features include pop-up headlights, side marker lights, and quad exhaust outlets.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

Aluminum split five-spoke 18-inch M-Parallel wheels are wrapped in Yokohama tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cabin is fitted with power-adjustable black gathered leather bucket seats, dual rear seats, and a full-length center console matched to the dash, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include power windows, cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, an AM/FM/cassette audio system, an onboard computer, and floor mats.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation consists of a 170-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for the fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer reads 60K miles, which is consistent with the CARFAX report.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The 4.0-liter M60 V8 was rated at 282 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque when new and received a recent oil change and inspection per the selling dealer. The CARFAX shows that the transmission seal was replaced in 2020; additional handwritten notes on the airbox show maintenance history including the spark plugs and air filter being replaced at 60K miles. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted five-speed automatic transmission.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Stopping is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The CARFAX report shows a vehicle history free of accidents and damage. The sale includes service records, a tool kit, and a factory spare tire. A $399 dealer fee will be added to the purchase price. The dealer has provided a video with an exterior walkaround, an interior perspective, and an engine start-up below.

@eileencks – Is the rear deck lid mounted spoiler removable? Has the lid been drilled? ...

I believe the deck lid spoiler is bolted on. That would have holes drilled into the deck. Randy
