1958 Supercharged Studebaker Silver Hawk

OVERVIEW

This rotisserie-restored 1958 Studebaker Silver Hawk is powered by a supercharged 289ci Studebaker V8 backed by a Toploader four-speed manual transmission. Features include a vintage Paxton supercharger, bucket seats, power brakes, and American Racing wheels. Finished in metallic silver over a gray cloth and vinyl interior, this Studebaker is available now and comes with restoration photos and a clear Arizona title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

During the rotisserie restoration 15 years ago, the body was stripped down to bare metal and refinished in metallic silver. The seller reports it was recently touched up with wet sanding and polishing. Features include chrome bumpers, grille, and trim; dual mirrors; electric windshield wipers; fresh air fender vents; "Avanti R2 Supercharged" emblems; and a rear-mounted antenna.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 15-inch aluminum American Racing Torq Thrust wheels is wrapped in BFGoodrich tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The front bucket seats and the rear bench seat are upholstered in gray vinyl and cloth. Features include a floor-mounted manual transmission shifter and manual windows and steering.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 160-mph speedometer is located behind the steering wheel. With 500 miles added during current ownership, the odometer reads 1,000 miles. The true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a supercharged 289ci Studebaker V8 and backed by a Toploader four-speed manual gearbox. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers, a vintage Paxton supercharger system, and a GM alternator. The seller states that a tune-up was completed, all fluids were changed, the carburetor was rebuilt, and the battery was replaced in January 2023.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Studebaker was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power four-wheel drums.
