2004 BMW M3 Convertible

This 2004 BMW M3 is a garage-kept 2-door convertible powered by a 3.2-liter inline-6 DOHC engine paired with a 6-speed SMG transmission with just 95,000miles. After being manufactured in Germany, the car was sold new in Arkansas where it currently resides. Equipment includes cruise control, an AM/FM stereo with a CD player, cruise control, a tilt and telescoping steering column, audio controls on the steering wheel, vanity mirrors with lights, power mirrors, heated mirrors, keyless entry, front and dual side-mounted airbags, power windows, back-up sensors, a power top, 4-wheel disc brakes, and 4-wheel ABS. The car is now offered with a CARFAX report and a clear Arkansas title in the seller’s name.

The BMW M3 began with the 1986 model year as a cosmetically and mechanically upgraded package for the BMW 3-series. This example from 2004 is finished in red that the seller reports the paint looks “really good” and there is a dent on the left quarter panel, visible in the photo gallery. 

Factory 18” alloy wheels are wrapped in brand new Michelin tires that were installed two weeks ago. The accompanying CARFAX report also states they were replaced in 2020. Behind them are 4-wheel disc brakes and 4-wheel ABS. Both sides also feature power and heated side-view mirrors. Handling is supported by an independent front suspension with MacPherson struts and a multi-link independent rear suspension.

The interior is outfitted in black with black leather seats and door panels. The car is also equipped with cruise control, audio controls on the steering wheel, a tilt and telescoping steering column, an AM/FM radio with a CD player, dual front and side-mounted airbags, power windows, and backup sensors. Outside, the car features a power convertible top in black and, a black top boot that covers the roof in the down position. The seller reports the motor for the top was rebuilt in 2019.

Instrumentation includes a speedometer and tachometer with additional gauges to monitor fuel level, coolant temp, and oil temp. The odometer shows 95,000 miles,  about 15,000 of these added by the seller. 

The 3.2-liter S54 inline-6 DOHC engine is factory-rated at 333 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. Engine power is routed to the rear wheels through a six-speed Sequential Manual Gearbox and limited-slip differential. The gearbox enables drivers to toggle between automatic and manual modes of shifting the transmission. The seller reports some oil change records are available, and the last reported service was 09/01/2021.
