Vehicle Story

This 1983 Chevrolet K10 Blazer 4WD is a custom-built two-door utility vehicle that has covered roughly 3,000 miles since a complete mechanical and cosmetic overhaul, drawing power from a small-block 350ci V8 that is bored out to 383ci and equipped with three two-barrel Holley carburetors, an Edelbrock intake, and an MSD ignition system. With power going to all four corners via a rebuilt 3-speed automatic transmission, this Blazer has been modernized with niceties including a newer Bluetooth stereo, a security system, and custom 20” wheels wrapped in knobby tires. This Blazer resided long-term in North Carolina before being relocated to South Carolina in 2016, offering rust-free finishes throughout. Finished in Burgundy Metallic over a tan vinyl interior with a removable fiberglass top, this Blazer is now offered with a CARFAX report, build receipts and a clear South Carolina title in the seller’s name.

The K-Series Blazer shared chassis underpinnings with similar-era Rounded Line pickups in the General Motors lineup beginning in 1973. This example from 1983 and was subject to a two-year restoration process that concluded in 2019, encompassing a full repaint in Burgundy Metallic, having been garage-kept throughout the seller’s ownership. The body features a removable fiberglass rear top, front bumper guards, a billet grille, fog lamps, bright rocker panel trim, a tow package, underbody steps at the sides and rear, and Xlerator mufflers with electric cutouts and dual polished exhaust outlets. The photo carousel illustrates the build through various phases of restoration.

Chrome-finished 20” wheels are wrapped in newer all-terrain tires, and handling is assisted by power brakes and power steering.

The interior is trimmed with reupholstered tan vinyl bucket seating, contrasted by black door panels, padded dash, and carpeting. Amenities include air conditioning, a custom wood-rimmed steering wheel and other cabin wood accents, a Pioneer AM/FM/CD player with Bluetooth, power door locks, a security system, and tinted power windows.

A replacement Dakota Digital instrument panel includes a speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads approximately 2,400 miles. True chassis mileage is unknown.

The replacement rebuilt small block 350ci V8 has been balanced, blueprinted, and bored to 383ci featuring an MSD ignition system, aluminum heads, Hedman headers, an Edelbrock intake, and three two-barrel Holley carburetors. Additional equipment includes dual radiator fans as well as chrome treatment for the alternator, air conditioning compressor, and power steering pump. Power is sent to all four wheels via a column-shifted rebuilt 3-speed automatic transmission with an 1800 stall converter, and the rear end is a 4.11 positraction unit.

The CARFAX report shows minor damage to the left rear dated July 2014 and a mileage inconsistency from December 2013 due to the odometer roll-over. The sale includes build receipts.
