Vehicle Story

This 1969 Ford F-100 Ranger was purchased by the original owner in Ohio and used to haul produce to the farmer's market prior to being purchased in the mid-1970s by the seller and second owner who has kept it in the family since then. Power is sent to the rear wheels by the original 360ci V8 and automatic transmission, both of which have been rebuilt during the truck's lifetime. Features include a refreshed interior, power brakes, an aftermarket Kenwood stereo, manually cranked windows, and a front bumper-mounted spare tire carrier. Located in Kennewick, Washington, the truck is offered with receipts, owner's manuals, its original build sheet, and a clear title.

The Candy Apple Red (T) paintwork is noted to be non-original and accented with chrome trim and black Ford branding on the tailgate. The front bumper sports a spare tire mount installed during prior ownership; the bed has been treated with a black spray-on bed liner to prevent the spread of surface rust that was forming.

Handling is managed by a power braking system which was installed by the seller's father as an upgrade to the factory mechanical system and the rear shocks are noted to be in need of replacement in the near future. Suspension consists of a leaf-sprung solid rear axle combined with a coil-sprung independent front end which is said to drive straight without any notable issues.

The interior is outfitted in red with black and stainless steel throughout and was refreshed with new vinyl bench seat upholstery and red carpeting installed under black floor mats earlier this year. Equipment includes an older aftermarket Kenwood stereo with door panel speakers, manual locks and cranked windows, a heater/defroster, lap belts and side vent windows.

Instrumentation is housed in a woodgrain dash piece and consists of five horizontally opposed dials including a 100-mph speedometer accompanied by gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature and battery voltage. The 5-digit odometer is reported to read 17,607 miles but is not confirmed to be accurate.

Power comes from the factory original 360ci V8 which produced 215hp through a 2-barrel carburetor when new paired with the original automatic transmission. The engine is said to have been rebuilt by a dealship sometime in the late 1980s followed by the transmission which was overhauled several years ago by AAMCO. A 4-barrel Holley carburetor was added approximately 5-6 years ago along with an aluminum radiator, and with the exception of a small leak of transmission fluid when hot, the driveline is reported to start up and run without issue.

Service records are shown in the above photo and owner's books, the original build sheet, and more will be included in the sale of the truck.
