Vehicle Story

This custom 1958 Chevrolet Apache 2WD pickup has been driven fewer than 1,000 miles on an upgraded Holley fuel-injected small-block 355ci V8 paired with a 4-speed 4L60E automatic transmission with a TCI Automotive control unit. It sits on a 1979 Chevrolet Blazer chassis and comes equipped with polished aluminum Pro Comp wheels on Dick Cepek tires, front disc brakes, a Lokar shifter, Dolphin gauges, and a Magnaflow exhaust system. Finished in Satin Black over a newer interior with a charcoal tweed and vinyl bench seat, this Apache is now offered with manuals and clear Wyoming title in the seller’s name.

Designated the Task Force series, the 1955 full-size General Motors pickups received an all-new body style. The grille and trim were changed in subsequent years. In 1958, the light-duty trucks received the Apache nameplate. Cosmetic updates included quad headlights, a shorter grille, and inset parking lights. This Apache stepside from that year was repainted Satin Black and is accented with chrome bumpers, grille, mirror housings, and badging. Additional work completed under the seller’s ownership includes upgraded LED rear lighting, the replacement of the hood hinges, new glass and weatherstripping, and the installation of new wooden bed planks along with stainless steel hardware. Features include a windshield visor, side steps, and a Magnaflow performance exhaust system.

Polished aluminum Pro Comp wheels are set inside of Dick Cepek Extreme Country raised-white-letter tires. This Apache is set on a 1979 Chevrolet Blazer frame and is currently configured as a two-wheel-drive vehicle. Stopping power comes from disc brakes at the front and drums at the rear.

The newer interior is fitted with a reupholstered charcoal tweed and vinyl bench seat, custom door panels, and replacement carpeting. Amenities include a newer classic-look sound system, a Lokar shifter, a heater, electric wipers, and keyless start. The back of the cab and back of the seat is finished in black ABS plastic.

Vehicle information is provided by a set of Dolphin gauges that includes a centralized GPS 140-mph speedometer accompanied by readouts for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The replacement digital odometer reads 475 miles, which is the total mileage on the new drivetrain.

The 425-horsepower small-block 355ci V8 is equipped with Holley Sniper fuel injection and was reportedly built by the Hot Rod Company, a Seattle-based hot rod facility prior to installation. Upgraded with aluminum heads and an aluminum radiator, it has been driven approximately 1,000 miles and comes dressed in custom aluminum and chrome elements. A 26-gallon fuel tank has been installed in the frame and the wiring has been replaced. Power is fed to the rear wheels through a TCI Automotive programmable 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission. A hand held TCI controller is included in the sale and the tune can be adjusted.

The truck is equipped with a straight axel from Speedway Motors. Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.

The sale includes manuals. The seller has posted a video of the truck below.

@Rexyrock777 – I have a few questions for the owner...I bought a muscle car online from a very well known company that has been selling classics for decades. They shipped me a piece of rattling, leaking garbage that looked amazing in the photos...I have put 20K to date into the car, and Im not close to done... The cherry on top was when I contacted them with the list of things that they omitted, or flat out lied about. ...The owner HUNG UP on me! And, wouldn't return any of my calls, emails, texts, or messages in a bottle... My lawyer told me to save my money suing them because it wasn't worth the money or hassle to me...the company knew they had me handcuffed. I am still dumping money into it . My mechanic has had the car since the day it was shipped...over a year ago. So...Im a Little weary to say the least of buying online...in fact, Im totally shell shocked.! The 58" Apache truck looks good to the "Eye", and so, did the Camaro...I am ready & willing to Bid if I know Exactly what I am getting into...I'm sure that the other bidders feel the same way. Could you Please tell me "Anything" & "Everything" that is wrong, or might be wrong with the truck? Any History of damage that wasnt mentioned, any bondo, leaks, tears, rust, rot, any issues at all? I'm just doing my due diligence, and I'm not trying to give anyone a hard time. Thank you, I appreciate your response. ...
