Vehicle Story

This 1965 Ford Mustang convertible project car has been with the seller since 1992 and is powered by a 200ci inline 6-cylinder engine backed by an automatic transmission. Features include bucket seats, brown carpeting, a recently installed power top, manual brakes, and manual steering. This garage-kept yellow Mustang with a black top and black vinyl interior is available now and comes with uninstalled new front seat upholstery and a clear Georgia title.

This Mustang convertible was originally finished in Ivy Green (Color code R on the data plate) but has been refinished in yellow. It features chrome bumpers, aftermarket wheel well trim, a driver-side mirror, and rocker trim. A new black vinyl power convertible top with a plastic rear window was recently installed.

A set of black 14-inch steel wheels with full Mustang hubcaps is wrapped in whitewall radial tires.

The front bucket seats, re-covered rear seat, trim, and door panels are upholstered in black vinyl. Features include brown carpeting throughout the vehicle, a floor-mounted automatic shifter, black vinyl floor mats, manual windows, and manual brakes. Additional features include functional interior lights and windshield wipers, an upgraded AM/FM digital radio, a black vinyl dashboard pad, and a black vinyl boot cover. The seller states the upholstery on the rear seat is new and a set of uninstalled black vinyl front bucket seat covers will be included with the sale of the vehicle. In addition, they note that the dimmer switch is non-operational and that the dashboard has cracks in it and should be replaced.

A 120-mph sweep speedometer, a coolant temperature gauge, a non-operational fuel gauge, and warning lights for the oil pressure and alternator are located in a black panel in front of the driver. The seller states that 60,000 miles have been logged during their ownership, but they have not disclosed the current odometer reading.

Power is provided by a 200ci inline-6 engine backed by an automatic transmission. Underhood features include manual steering, manual brakes, a newer oil filter, a newer starter solenoid, and a correct closed-element air cleaner.

This Mustang came factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking power is provided by manual drum brakes. The seller states that a new gas tank has been installed, but the float is stuck. There is slight rust underneath the vehicle and repairs have been made to the driver and passenger floors.

Uninstalled black vinyl front seat covers will be included with the sale.
