NO RESERVE - 1969 CHEVROLET CAMARO

This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro two-door hardtop is dressed as an SS model and draws power from an upgraded small-block 350ci V8 with ceramic-coated headers and Edelbrock valve covers. A 4-speed manual transmission transfers power to the polished aluminum 17-inch rear American Racing wheels and the reportedly original rear end. Additional appointments include a modern audio system, interior sound-damping material, and front and rear spoilers. Finished in red with white accent striping over a black vinyl interior, this first-generation Camaro is now offered with uninstalled ball joints, service and restoration manuals, awards, and a clear Washington title in the seller’s name.

This 1969 Camaro sports coupe has been owned by the seller for 12 years and was repainted red with dual white accent stripes on the hood and the trunk lid under prior ownership. Equipment includes a chin spoiler, fog lamps, manual hideaway headlights, SS badging, 1970 Camaro mirror caps, bright rocker moldings, a rear spoiler, and a dual-exhaust system.

Polished aluminum 17-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are wrapped in Falken tires.

The cockpit is furnished with black vinyl bucket front seats, matched to the door panels, dash, newer carpeting, SS-embroidered floor mats, and the rear bench. Amenities include a center console with cup holders, a Grant steering wheel, and a custom audio system with a trunk-mounted subwoofer. The headliner has been replaced with a one-piece fiberglass unit and the interior has been insulated with sound-damping material. The seller notes that a steel plate has been installed in the driver-side floor pan where corrosion was previously evident and there is etching visible in the upper left corner of the windshield.

Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and an aftermarket tachometer mounted on the steering column. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads just under 67K miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

The small-block 350ci V8 has been upgraded with ceramic-coated headers, Edelbrock valve covers, and more. Maintenance over the seller’s period of ownership includes the replacement of the fuel tank and a differential cleaning in 2017. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted 4-speed manual transmission and the reportedly original rear end. The seller notes that there is a small oil leak at the rear engine seal and the synchros need to be adjusted for the reverse gear.
