Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1973 Ford Bronco 4x4 half-cab pickup has been upgraded with a four-inch Skyjacker lift, BFGoodrich tires, fender flares, a dual-exhaust system, and a custom interior treatment. It was restored inside and out and receives power from a rebuilt, reportedly numbers-matching 302ci V8 paired with a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Refinished in metallic charcoal over a black vinyl interior, this first-generation Bronco is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear Florida title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

This 1973 Bronco compact pickup retains its original body panels but has been restored and repainted metallic charcoal. Equipment includes a custom front bumper, fender flares, a driver-side mirror, and a dual-exhaust system. The interior of the cargo area is covered with bed liner material. All exterior trim has been finished in monochromatic black.

EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

Black steel wheels are wrapped in new BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A raised-white-letter tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The two-seat cab is fitted with black vinyl low-back buckets, matched to the flooring material and the padded dash. Features include lap belts and a custom steering wheel.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation features a 100-mph speedometer surrounded by gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 37K miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The rebuilt, reportedly numbers-matching 302ci V8 was rated at 137 horsepower and 230 lb-ft of torque when new. It has been upgraded with a mild cam and an Optima battery. Power is sent to all four wheels via a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Stopping power comes from power-assisted brakes. A four-inch Skyjacker lift provides added clearance. Additional photos showing the underside are available in the carousel to the right.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

This Bronco was previously sold on Auto Hunter but is being relisted after the buyer backed out of the transaction through no fault of the seller.

@broncoorscout – I believe this Bronco is an original full cab Bronco? Correct me if I'm wrong? ...

Hello, how are you? Yes, it's not an original half cab, but that's the best part because half cab caps are difficult to find and this one is in excellent shape (notice that it's bolted, so it can be replaced for a convertible canvas top or a full hard top)
