OVERVIEW
This 1967 Volkswagen Beetle is powered by an air-cooled 1500cc flat-four engine mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Features include the original paint, new JBugs upholstery, a rebuilt carburetor, and new Classic tires. Finished in black over a new red vinyl interior, this three-owner Beetle is available now and comes from the selling dealer with vehicle documentation and New York registration.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior is finished in the factory-applied black paint. Features include chrome bumpers with overriders, amber turn signals, a driver-side mirror, an antenna, and door handle scratch guards. The selling dealer states that there are minor chips under the front and rear bumpers.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of original black and white slotted steel wheels is wrapped in new 165/80 Classic Radial LL800 all-season tires, which are reportedly less than one year old.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The front bucket seats and the rear seat have been reupholstered with red basket weave vinyl from JBugs within the last six months. Features include a 12-volt electrical system upgrade; manual steering, brakes, and windows; a floor-mounted manual shifter; and red vinyl rear trim and door panels. The selling dealer states that cracking can be seen on the dashboard seals and that the AM radio is partially functional.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 90-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge are mounted ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 15,000 miles, which the selling dealer reports is accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a rear-mounted, air-cooled 1500cc flat-four engine mated to a four-speed manual transmission. A 12-volt alternator and a wiring conversion system has been installed. Within the last six months, the carburetor has been rebuilt and the oil has been changed.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Beetle was factory-equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive axle. Braking is provided by a dual-circuit master cylinder and manual four-wheel drums. An aftermarket single exhaust system exits at the rear.

Not to our knowledge. The cracking is on the rubber seals.

The engine looks like a few new parts as well. If this were an original '67 with 15,000 miles it would look the part, and it doesn't. ...
This is an original 1967 VW Beetle. The engine has several replaced parts (read description) and the 12V system was intelligently modified for access to the battery which is inconveniently located under the back seat (read description). After 57 years, regardless of mileage, fabric and vinyl cracks and fades. If you are seriously interested in the history of this car, we’d be happy to chat, otherwise… read the description :)
