This 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 two-door SportsRoof shows 88,515 original miles and comes from long-term family ownership, harnessing power from a numbers-matching 351ci Cleveland V8 paired with a 3-speed Select-Shift automatic transmission. This Mustang originated in North Carolina and was subsequently relocated to Ohio in the 1980s where it has been garage-kept over the subsequent decades by a single-family. An exterior refresh was applied in the factory Dark Green Metallic color scheme which included factory-correct Mach 1 silver striping and decals, and the interior is outfitted with woodgrain trim, an AM radio, and a padded dash to match the Ginger Knit vinyl bucket seats. This Mustang is now offered with a Deluxe Marti report, and a clear Ohio title in the seller’s name.
For 1971, the Mustang received new styling and grew three inches wider than prior model years. This Mach 1 was repainted in its original shade of Dark Green Metallic (C) with silver accent striping and decals. The car was owned by the seller’s uncle previously and has been part of a trust for the last six years. According to the Marti Report, this Mach 1 is one of 606 assembled in this paint and trim code for the year. The exterior features aerodynamic equipment including a dual-intake Ram Air hood with 351 decals and bright retention pins, a lower front air dam, Mach 1 hockey-stick side striping and decals, and color-matched side view mirrors. Bright trim accents for the front bumpers, rocker panel moldings, handles, and window trim is noted to be in good condition throughout.
Mag five-spoke 14” wheels with black inserts are mounted to newer Cooper Cobra Radial T/T raised-white-letter tires. Power steering and power front disc brakes provide driver assistance.
The upholstery for the fold-forward bucket seats consists of Ginger Knit vinyl (5F), having been color-matched to the door panels, padded dash, and carpeting. The interior is outfitted with the Mach 1 Sports optioning with woodgrain accent veneer on the center stack as well as an AM radio. The trunk is finished with correct spatter paint and houses a spare tire.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and a fuel gauge, as well as additional gauges in the center console for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 88,515 miles, which the seller believes to be accurate, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The numbers-matching 351ci Cleveland 2V V8 bears a blue-finished air cleaner with appropriate factory decals and is said to have received service within the last two years. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a numbers-matching FMX Select-Shift 3-speed automatic transmission with a console-mounted shift lever. The car has a 2.75 conventional rear axle.

The sale includes a Marti report.

@Jowalker – It’s that new invisible/see thru spoiler. Seen this advertised on a few autos and the same thing seems to be they’re marking it on the sheet to get a higher price/offer even though it’s a lie. Sorry but I’m not the seller. If I was I wouldn’t lead people on like that. ...
The Marti report indicates the car originally was manufactured with a rear spoiler. I could only guess as to when and why the spoiler was removed. The description unintentionally overlooked that fact but the photos seem pretty clear. Thanks for pointing it out though.
@Joannms – I do not see a rear spoiler as described in the listing. Is it available? ...
