This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS has 13,390 original miles and comes from nearly 50 years of single-family ownership, having been passed down from the seller’s father and recently receiving a replacement blueprinted 383ci V8 backed by a numbers-matching Muncie M22 4-speed manual transmission. The build incorporated Hooker headers, show tubes, side pipes, Wilwood brakes, a Vintage Air A/C system, Mickey Thompson wheels with custom spinners, and custom fender flares. Finished in a two-tone silver and black vinyl wrap over an original red vinyl interior, this first-year Camaro is now offered with the original 350ci engine, spare parts, and a clear North Carolina title in the seller’s name.
The first-generation Camaro debuted in 1967 on the rear-wheel-drive F-body platform, available as a two-door hardtop or convertible. This hardtop from the initial model year has spent 47 years with the seller’s family, during which time it has been stored indoors and driven to shows. A professionally applied black and silver Nascar vinyl wrap covers the body, which retains its original quarter panels and wears custom fender flares. Additional exterior features consist of red accent stripes, hideaway headlamps, front and rear spoilers, rear window louvers, side-exit exhaust pipes, and color-matched sport mirrors.
15" polished aluminum Mickey Thompson wheels wear custom knock-off spinners and are wrapped in staggered-width tires with good tread remaining. Wilwood disc brakes have been added up front.
The interior is trimmed in original materials per the seller, with exception of replacement floor mats. High-back bucket seats are upholstered in red vinyl with black accents and these are complemented by matching door panels, dash, and carpeting. Amenities include a Vintage Air A/C system, a rear defogger, and tinted windows, and the trunk houses the original spare tire.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a fuel gauge, and readouts for oil pressure, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 13,390 miles, which the seller asserts is a true reading.
The replacement blueprinted 383ci V8 is bored .030 over and resides in a fully-detailed engine bay. Performance upgrades include Hooker headers and an MSD ignition system, and power is sent to the rear wheels via a the original numbers-matching Muncie M22 Rock Crusher 4-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear end.
The sale includes the original 350ci factory motor, the factory brakes, and more.
