This 1965 Chevrolet El Camino Custom pickup has been with the seller for close to two years and has been driven roughly 50 miles throughout that time. Power is sent to the rear wheels by way of a swapped 427ci Chevrolet big-block paired with a 700R-4 automatic transmission whereas equipment includes a Positraction rear differential, factory air conditioning, and power steering, brakes, and windows. The truck is offered for sale in Seaside, California along with a clean title in the seller's name.
Green paintwork is said to be approximately 20 years old and features chrome bumpers, badging and trimmings as part of the "Custom" trim package which shared items from the Chevelle Malibu's styling ques. The paint is noted to have some minor blemishes in common areas but is reported to look great overall along with the black bed liner coated box.
Power steering and power brakes are equipped to handle chromed steel wheels wrapped in a set of BF Goodrich Radial T/A's with raised white lettering. The solid axle rear end is suspended by coil springs and features a Positraction limited-slip differential while standard independent coil-sprung suspension exists on the front.
The interior appears to have been refinished in tan-colored upholstery over bucket seating with carpeting, door and dash panels to match and black, chrome and stainless accents throughout. Equipment includes working factory air conditioning, power windows, tilt steering wheel and an AM/FM radio with cassette player.
Instrumentation is framed by a 3-spoke tan and chrome tilt steering wheel and features an analog clock centered between a 120-mph speedometer and a multi-gauge with dials for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature and battery amperage. An aftermarket Sunpro gauge set has been installed and includes a steering column-mounted 8k-rpm tachometer and dash-mounted dials for battery voltage, oil pressure and coolant temperature. The 5-digit odometer is not confirmed to be accurate but shows 75,239 miles driven in the above photo.
Power comes from a 427ci big-block V8 mated to a 700R-4 4-speed automatic transmission in place of the original factory-equipped small-block. The drivetrain is noted to run well with modifications that are mostly unknown by the seller with the exception of an upgraded stall convertor and likely a high-lift camshaft. Engine dressings include a set of chrome valve covers with a matching air cleaner, Weiand aluminum intake manifold and Accel electronic ignition.
Dual exhaust with chrome tips and the aforementioned Positraction rear end can be found on the underside.

Thanks for your response. I’m flying out of Monterey today but have a car-guy friend who may still be there. Please send me your contact info.
Sorry Bob I was pulling 12 hour shifts I would be happy to show you the car if you’re still around
Too low? No sir. Look at the bid history. I had the high bid when I asked to see the car and I was in Pebble Beach, very close to Seaside. Could it be possible you don't want to show the car?
spudster...Classic Cars did a great job schooling a first time seller!
