This 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa rides on Fuchs polished wheels and has been upgraded with a Fabspeed exhaust system, a performance chip, and a modern audio system. Power comes from an air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six paired with a G50 5-speed manual transaxle. This 911 resided long-term in Oregon until being relocated to Arkansas in late 2020 and has undergone recent maintenance in the form of an oil change, valve adjustment, and spark plug replacement. Finished in Grand Prix White with a removable black top over a black leather interior, this Carrera is now offered with the original exhaust, a CARFAX report, service records, a brochure, and a clear Arkansas title in the seller’s name.
The Carrera 3.2 model debuted in 1984 as a replacement for the 911SC-series and was offered through 1989 as a two-door four-seater. This example from the penultimate year of that generation is painted Grand Prix White which is contrasted by black accenting trim for the bumpers with guards, rocker moldings, door handles, badging, and window trim. The exterior is outfitted with a removable black Targa top, fog lamps, a full-width taillight panel, and a Fabspeed exhaust system with a polished outlet. The seller notes that there is a scratch on the passenger side-view mirror as shown in the photo gallery.
Polished aluminum 16” Fuchs wheels with Porsche crest center caps are wrapped in older Kumho Ecsta tires sized 205/55 up front and 245/50 in the rear. The suspension has been lowered and features a front strut bar, and the disc brakes are cross-drilled at all four corners, with recent maintenance including replacement of the rear brake lines.
The interior has seating for four, offering power-adjustable high-back black leather bucket seats, matched to the door panels, console, dash, carpeting, and Porsche-embroidered floor mats. The driver seat was reupholstered in 2019 and all upholstery is said to be in good condition. Amenities include cruise control, retrofitted R134a air conditioning, and an upgraded sound system with Earthquake-branded speakers in the door panels and Pioneer speakers in the rear deck. A factory spare tire is mounted in the carpeted front trunk area.
VDO instrumentation consists of a 170-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and accompanying gauges for fuel level, oil temperature, oil pressure and voltage. The six-digit mechanical odometer reads 152k miles, and the CARFAX report shows that the vehicle was registered in Oregon in 1994 under a “not actual mileage” title, thus true mileage is not verified.
The rear-mounted air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six is Bosch fuel injected and was recently maintained including a valve adjustment, oil and filter change, and replacement of spark plugs in 2020. Additional service was performed on the fuel hoses, DME relay, distributor cap, and rotor previously. A 911 Chips engine-management chip has been added, and power is sent to the rear wheels via a G50 5-speed manual transaxle.
Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
The CARFAX report shows no accidents or damage on record. The sale includes the original exhaust, stock engine control chip, service records, and a brochure.
This re-setting the time clock at the last minute is ridiculous.

@jeff_x – Hi, does it come with two keys and user manual? I guess the brochure is not the user manual? Thanks! ...
The car has two keys and the original owners manual. Good luck.

@Robert8198 – Beautiful Carrera! These Targas are really starting to become popular in the collector world. They use to be unloved but now are saught after. As far as the air conditioner goes, If you can get 50 degree air to come out of the vent on an 80 degree day you are doing really good with one of these systems. They will make life livable in the cabin with the top and windows up but you won't be looking for a sweater. As far as the "not actual mileage" goes, this car seems to represent 152,000 miles very well so I would believe the mileage is at least very close to being accurate. This car should bring a lot more than the current bid. ...
Thanks for the comments...agree 100%.
