1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Convertible

This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS convertible received a Torch Red repaint, a reupholstered red vinyl interior, and chrome-finished Ridler wheels as part of a restoration. Power comes from a small-block 327ci V8 backed by a replacement Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission, and performance upgrades have been installed including an Edelbrock carburetor and an electric choke. Finished with a replacement white retractable top and replated brightwork, this first-year Camaro is now offered with a car cover and a clear Nebraska title in the seller’s name.

The midsized Camaro launched in 1967 on the General Motors F-body platform as a two-door hardtop or convertible. This Camaro convertible from that initial model year was repainted in Torch Red with a white accent stripe around the nose, featuring good-condition brightwork for the bumpers, lower bodyside moldings, window surrounds, and badging. The body is said to retain its original rust-free steel, and add-ons include front and rear spoilers, an SS hood, newer electric hideaway headlights, and dual polished exhaust outlets at the rear.

Chrome-finished five-spoke Ridler wheels are installed in a staggered 17” front, 18” rear fitment and wrapped in newer Nitto Extreme ZR tires. Handling is assisted by power steering and power brakes.

The interior is fitted with reupholstered red vinyl bucket seating with black accent striping, color-matched to the door panels, padded dash, lap belts, and carpeting. A full-length black center console splits the cabin, providing a center armrest and storage. The dash bezel and T-handle shift lever have been replaced, and the red-rimmed RS steering wheel was restored. Amenities include SS-branded embroidered floor mats, a radio, and a heater. The trunk is finished in correct splatter paint and contains a spare tire.

Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. The gauge closer has a five-digit mechanical odometer but it is not currently working. True mileage on the chassis is unknown.

The small-block 327ci V8 was rated at 300 horsepower and features a chrome-finished Edelbrock intake, an Edelbrock carburetor, and an electric choke. An oil change was performed in May 2021, and power is directed to the rear wheels via a replacement Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission and a console-mounted T-handle shift lever.
