This 1972 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by a 454ci V8 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. After leaving the St. Louis factory, the seller states the car was inside heated storage and under a car cover from at least 1983 until very recently. Equipment includes side pipes, an aftermarket hood, leather seats, and a radio. The Corvette's odometer shows 85K miles and the car includes a clear title in the seller's name.
The Corvette features brightwork on the front and rear bumpers, side pipes, grille surround, and the side mirror on the driver side. It also displays a number of emblems, including Stingray scripts on the front fenders, Corvette emblem on the rear, and the iconic Corvette crossed flags between the headlights. The seller says the car is in "excellent condition" and the black paint is original.
The 1972 Chevrolet Corvette is part of the C3 or third generation, lasting from 1968 to 1982 these Corvettes all shared the same basic body shape and interior layout with minor changes made year over year. This 1972 features a few custom touches including an aftermarket hood with a raised cowl and side vents, C2 era Corvette knockoff wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle P245 60R 15" tires, and chrome side pipes.
The interior is outfitted in black with brightwork and aluminum details throughout. The 4-speed manual transmission is controlled via a chrome shifter mounted in a center console featuring woodgrain trim. Equipment includes manual windows, a radio with cassette, and storage pockets on the passenger side of the dashboard.
In front of the steering wheel are a tachometer and speedometer including an odometer that shows 85K miles, but true mileage is unknown. The center of the dashboard displays a full array of additional gauges for coolant temp, fuel level, oil pressure, charging voltage, and a clock.
The 454ci V8 is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. The car was originally equipped with a 454ci V8 producing a factory-rated 270 horsepower according to the VIN. The seller states that the car has 460 horsepower, and reports it has received regular oil changes.

@GRCHS1971 – Is there rust evidence in frame rails? Any interference with engine if an original style hood is put back on? ...
I have not seen rust. Look at the undercarriage pics, it looks really clean to me. I do not know about clearance with stock hood
@SCOTTROD – Hi do the lights and wiper door both function properly, listed as 460 hp any idea what work has been done to the motor and has it been rebuilt and or how long has it been in the car. Cheers ...
Yes to the lights and wipers. On the engine, I think it is a 1971 LS6 454 which was rated 460 hp. I know it also has headers style exhaust (for sidepipes) and high energy ignition. It may even have more done to it, not sure….but it is amazingly powerful!
