This 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is a near-new high-performance coupe that has covered 4,439 miles under one owner and is powered by a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential. This GT500 was first sold in March 2021 in Red Bluff, California, and subsequently relocated to Arizona where it currently resides. Equipment includes launch control, Brembo brake calipers, remote keyless entry, Recaro seating, and full instrumentation with an 8” touchscreen and navigation. Finished in black over a black interior, this sixth-generation Mustang is now offered with a clean CARFAX report and a clear Arizona title.
In 2015, the S550-chassis Mustang went on sale as the pony car’s sixth generation, subsequently receiving a refresh in 2018 that applied a restyled front clip, revised packaging, and new exterior colors. This 2020 GT500 retains an as-new cosmetic appearance per the seller and is dressed in all-black with model-specific lower bodyside treatment, a Shelby-branded front splitter, and a mesh grille with a Cobra center emblem. Aerodynamic enhancements include a slotted hood with retention pins, a rear diffuser, and a trunk-mounted wing spoiler. Lighting is enhanced by HID projector headlights and LED taillights with sequential turn signals, and there are quad polished exhaust tips at the rear.
Gloss black-finished 20” aluminum wheels with Ford-branded center caps are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires sized 305/30 in front and 315/30 in the rear. Traction is assisted by a Handling package coupled with both launch control and line-lock. An anti-lock four-wheel-disc braking system with traction control came as standard equipment, and the aforementioned braking is handled by red-finished Brembo six-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers.
The interior has Recaro vinyl and Alcantara bucket seats up front, featuring white accent borders, black inserts, and Cobra logos in the backrests. The remainder of the cabin is trimmed in matching black, with carbon fiber across the dash and a plaque denoting this GT500 as chassis number L3540. Amenities include Ford Performance aluminum door sill plates, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a Technology package with add-ons such as SYNC 3 infotainment with an 8” touchscreen, navigation, a back-up camera, track-aid applications, and more. Convenience accessories include power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, a keyless entry system with remote start, and a push-button ignition. The audio system is a Bang & Olufsen head unit with XM radio and Bluetooth connectivity, and safety equipment includes blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, dual front airbags, and side airbags.
The multi-function steering wheel frames instrumentation in the form of a 12” digital display showing a 220-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and other customizable metrics. Additional analog gauges are present in the center stack for oil temperature and oil pressure. The digital odometer reads 4,439 original miles as supported by the selling dealer and the CARFAX report.
The supercharged 5.2-liter V8 features a cast-aluminum intake manifold that is signed by the assembly technician, as well as an air-to-liquid intercooler and an engine oil cooler. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential with 3.73:1 gearing. Shifting control can be directed via a rotary knob in the center console or via paddles on the steering wheel.
The CARFAX report illustrates vehicle history that is free of accidents or damage.
