Turbo Charged 1994 Chevrolet Impala SS

This 1994 Chevrolet Impala SS is a 4 door sedan powered by a turbocharged 5.7-liter V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The car was delivered from the factory to a dealer in Illinois and spent the rest of the time since new in Illinois. Equipment includes power steering, 6-way power seats in the front, power windows, tilt wheel, air conditioning, front airbags, power antenna, stainless steel exhaust, and vanity mirrors mounted on the visors.

Introduced in 1994, the Impala SS was a stand-alone model from its platform-mate it was based on, the Caprice. Main exterior differences include revised rear quarter windows, black trim, and a revised front grille. The 1994 model year features a 1-year-only placement of the side mirrors on the door skin below the beltline while additional features include "Impala SS" scripts on the rear quarters and a rear decklid lip spoiler.

This Impala SS  retains it's factory 17" aluminum wheels fitted with radial tires. The ride is supported by gas shocks in the rear, steel springs in the rear, and an anti-roll bar. The accompanying CARFAX report also indicates that the sway bar was replaced in 2013.

The Impala was offered only with a gray interior during its 3-year production run, which included the carpeting, seats, and outer shell of the dashboard. There are also black components on the door panels, center console, dashboard inlay, and radio panel. The carpeting, door panels, seats, and dashboard are finished in gray. The interior is also fitted with vanity mirrors on the visors, gray leather seats, 6-way power seats in the front, and SS emblems embroidered on the headrests of the front seats. In the rear is a bench seat fitted with an armrest. The car is equipped with air conditioning, front airbags, and a radio with a cassette player.

The digital instrumentation includes an oil pressure gauge, fuel gauge, battery voltage gauge, speedometer, and odometer, which shows 51K miles. The automatic transmission is shifted through a column-mounted lever.

The 5.7-liter LT1 V8 is linked to a 4-speed automatic transmission whose power is directed to a limited-slip rear differential. The engine breaths through a stainless steel exhaust system and aftermarket air intake. The Impala SS includes some aftermarket parts, including a turbocharger with 3 fuel injectors atop the throttle body connected to a power programmer, and an MSD ignition system.
