This 1967 Maserati Quattroporte is an Italian-built four-door sedan that has been family-owned for more than 20 years and is powered by a 4.1-liter V8 paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. This Quattroporte offers power-assisted steering, woodgrain interior trim, and leather seating surfaces. Finished in silver over a blue interior, this first-generation Quattroporte is now offered with an Ontario vehicle permit.
The Quattroporte full-size luxury car debuted at the Turin Motor Show in 1963. Offered exclusively as a 4-door sedan, its design was styled by coachbuilder Pietro Frua and its body was constructed by Vignale. The Series II rolled out in 1966, continuing with a steel unibody structure and adding dual headlights. This example from 1967 is painted silver and features a hood with a center scoop, brightwork in various areas around the perimeter, and dual exhausts out back.
The car rolls on slotted 15-inch wheels, two of which wear bright center caps. Braking hardware includes lines that were replaced 9 years ago, according to the seller.
The interior is furnished with blue leather seating and matching door panels, dash, and carpeting. Woodgrain trim can be found on the dash, steering wheel, door panels, and shift knob, and a radio is located in the center console. The seller notes that there is some interior wear consistent with the vehicle's age.
Instrumentation is comprised of a 300-km/h speedometer, a 6K-rpm tachometer, and accompanying gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The 5-digit mechanical odometer reads approximately 42K kilometers (~26K miles), though true mileage is unknown.
The 4.1-liter V8 resides under a forward-hinged hood and was factory-rated to produce 260 horsepower. A video below shows it running. The motor received replacement pistons in 2014 and was last serviced in mid-2020, according to the seller. Insurance inspections have been carried out for the past 15 years and the car is reported to be running well currently. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 5-speed manual transmission.
