This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette convertible has been with the seller for the past 8 years and has approximately 1,500 miles driven on an all-new drivetrain after a frame-off restoration was completed in 2019. Power comes from a ZZ427 big-block V8 crate engine paired with a rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission and features include aftermarket fuel injection, a new gas tank and many other replacement pieces throughout. The car comes equipped with power steering, power brakes, convertible top and is offered at auction in Avon, Ohio with a clear title in the seller's name.
This example is one of 16,608 convertibles produced for the model year and comes finished in Audi Sprint Blau, LZ5F, 5N. Exterior features include chrome bumpers, gilled quarter panels, cowl induction hood scoop, and a convertible top. Condition is noted to be great after a frame-up restoration completed in 2019 and the only notable flaw lies in the "temperamental" passenger side hood latch.
Standard chrome rally wheels are fitted in blackwall tires on top of recently refreshed power braking components with handling assisted by the factory power steering system. A fresh gas tank has been installed and stock suspension consists of a coil-sprung independent front end in conjunction with a mono leaf sprung independent rear.
The interior is outfitted in black throughout with vinyl upholstery coving bucket seating over matching black carpeting. Standard and optional interior equipment are fitted including an AM/FM stereo, heater/defroster, and seat belts. Seller notes there is no A/C in the car currently, but the fan/radiator can accommodate A/C, it would just have to be installed.
Standard instrumentation is framed by the stock steering wheel and features a 160-mph speedometer and 7k-rpm tachometer along with center console dials for oil pressure, coolant temperature, battery voltage, fuel level and an analog clock. Additionally, the 5-digit mechanical odometer is reported to show approximately 15,000 miles.
The clamshell hood opening reveals a ZZ427 big-block V8 crate engine in place of the original small-block which comes mated to the rebuilt original 4-speed manual transmission with roughly 1,500 miles on the overhauled components. The engine is topped off with aftermarket fuel injection, a Summit Racing Max EFI throttle body with a chrome air cleaner assembly and stainless braided fuel lines.

Nicely done - congrats to the buyer and seller!

A couple of last minute questions...outside of the engine not being the "born with" engine, was this restored to factory spec? Would it need anything prior to embarking on a long road trip? Does it come with the black air cleaner? (small knit - but asking anyway) Good luck with the auction.
