This 1972 Ford F-100 4WD Styleside received recent electrical, brake, and interior work and is described as a largely original longbed pickup with a newer paint finish. The 360ci V8 is mated to a floor-shifted 4-speed manual transmission and traction comes from a set of 31” Yokohama tires. The seller has owned the vehicle for six years and is including service records from throughout ownership. Finished in Wimbledon White over a reupholstered maroon cloth interior, this fifth-generation F-100 is now offered with the aforementioned records, parts catalogs, and a clear Massachusetts title in the seller’s name.
The fifth generation of the F-Series pickup line launched in 1967 on a wider and heavier frame than its predecessor, with subsequent mid-cycle updates being applied to the design and option packaging. This F-100 from the final year of the generation received a Wimbledon White repaint in 2014 under prior ownership. The front and rear bumpers are body color, and bright accents are featured for the grille, side-view mirrors, and additional trim. The cargo area is an eight-foot longbed, outfitted with spray-in bedliner material and a tubular Thule bed rail system. The seller notes that there is corrosion on the front right quarter panel, as shown in the photo carousel.
Polished aluminum 15” American Racing wheels are wrapped in 31” Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S raised-white-letter tires. An aftermarket power steering setup has been added, and the brakes have been replaced within the last two years.
The interior was reupholstered with a maroon cloth bench seat with vinyl sides, color-matched to newer carpeting. The remainder of the cab is themed in black and white two-tone, with a padded upper dash. Amenities include a Grant aftermarket steering wheel and a radio, although the audio system is not hooked up per the seller.
Instrumentation includes a sweeping 100-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and a coolant temperature gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 25k miles, which the seller believes to be 125k. True mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The 360ci V8 received a recent overhaul of the electrical system and a replacement battery in early 2021, as well as replacement of the muffler and a section of the tailpipe in summer 2020. Power is fed to all four wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission.
Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
The sale includes a spare tire and service records dating back to 2015.
