Vehicle Story

This 1975 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale convertible was purchased by the seller from the second owner in 2013 and is now available for sale with 54,231 original miles driven on the odometer. Power is provided by a 400ci V8 mated to an automatic transmission and equipment includes power steering, power brakes and power windows along with a convertible top, cruise control and air conditioning. The car is located in High Point, North Carolina and offered with a clean North Carolina title in the seller's name.

Finished in Crimson Red (cc: 72), the car was resprayed while under prior ownership over 8 years ago and remains in great condition with the exception of some scratching on the trunk lid to an object falling on it. Exterior features include a white convertible top, quad headlight body matched grille and chrome bumper and trim pieces.

Thin whitewall tires are equipped with roughly 14,000 miles of use and chrome hub caps on all four corners. Power steering and power brakes come fitted as standard and the suspension has been in stock form at the correct ride height.

The interior is outfitted in white vinyl upholstery over front and rear bench seating with door panels to match over black carpeting under red floor mats. The upholstery was refreshed while under prior ownership and remains in good condition along with working factory air conditioning whereas the cruise control system is noted as non-operable.

Instrumentation is mounted behind the stock steering wheel and features a 100-mph speedometer and a dial for fuel level which is reported to be broken at this time. The analog 5-digit odometer currently reads 54,235 miles driven.

Power is provided by a 400ci V8 mated to an automatic transmission which was originally rated for 190hp and reported to run and drive properly without any notable issues. The last service was performed in may of 2013 and resulted in the installation of a new radiator, replacement belts and hoses and all-new fluids.

Additional photos of the undercarriage and the rest of this 1975 Oldsmobile convertible have been made available in the image carousel.

AUTOHUNTER ADMIN UPDATE: The listing was updated to reflect the tires have roughly 14,000 miles of use and the correct engine is a 400ci.

@RAG67 – The listing states the car has a 455 V-8 which would have had a 4 bbl carburator. The build sheet indicates the engine is a 400-2bbl. That's a huge difference. Please confirm which engine is in the car. ...

@SDKID – A few questions 1- has the car basically been in storage since 2013 or is the reference to the last service in 2013 just referring to the major service? 2- do the tires have 40k miles of use on them or 40k miles life left ? 3- was the fuel guage and cruise inoperable when you purchased the car? If they were working how long ago did they stop? Thanks ...

All tires are great I purchased them when I bought the car, Tires only ran approx. 14000 miles-----yes 2013 when I purchased the vehicle there was a major service, I maintained the car very well, two years ago I invested in a new battery, so there was no need for another major service, but I can do in case it would be required from potential buyer---fuel gage just went out of order a few month ago when I ran out of gasoline one day, ----cruise control never worked and I had no reason to repair or check because when I drive the car I do this in county side where no cruise control is needed
