This 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is an unmodified two-door sports coupe that has driven 33,914 miles since new and is powered by an SVT 5.4-liter supercharged V8 paired with a Tremec TR-6060 6-speed manual transmission. Offered as an upgrade to the S197 fifth-generation Mustang chassis, the GT500 came with special suspension tuning, Brembo brakes, and a stainless-steel exhaust system. Finished in Torch Red with silver striping over a black leather interior, this GT500 is now offered with service records, owner’s booklets, a CARFAX report, and a clear South Carolina title in the seller’s name.
Riding on the S197 chassis, the fifth-generation Mustang pony car went on sale as a 2005 model and a GT500 variant debuted two years later in collaboration with Carroll Shelby. This example from 2007 is painted Torch Red with silver Lemans GT accent striping and retains its original finishes throughout, offering GT500-specific body treatment including a lower front air dam, a mesh grille, a dual-intake aluminum hood, and a rear spoiler. Additional exterior appointments include fog lamps, Cobra badging, color-keyed side view mirrors, and dual stainless-steel exhaust outlets at the rear. The seller notes that there is light scratching on the front fender air dam but other finishes are in good condition.
Polished aluminum 18” SVT factory wheels are wrapped in moderately worn Michelin tires, sized 255/45 upfront and 285/40 in the rear. Braking comes from four-wheel anti-lock Brembo disc brakes linked to a traction-control system. Suspension tuning was specific to the GT500 model, comprised of MacPherson struts, a stabilizer bar, and a strut tower support upfront, followed by a solid rear axle with a three-link suspension, Panhard bar, and heavy-duty stabilizer at the rear.
The interior is trimmed in black leather, offering a six-way power-operated bucket driver seat and Cobra logos in both front backrests. The remainder of the matching cabin features a center console, a Hurst shift lever, and a signed Carroll Shelby placard on the face of the dash. Amenities include air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, an anti-theft alarm, keyless entry, tinted windows, and front and side airbags. The audio system is a Shaker AM/FM head unit with a six-disc CD changer and satellite radio connectivity.
SVT-branded instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer, along with auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The digital odometer reads 33,914 miles, which the seller states is an actual reading.
The SVT DOHC 5.4-liter supercharged, intercooled V8 bears a plaque that is engraved by its original assembly technician. The powerplant was factory rated at 500 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque when new, and recent service includes an oil change performed in August 2021. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a Tremec TR-6060 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential with 3.31:1 gearing.
Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
The sale includes service records and owner’s booklets, and the seller has provided a video. The selling dealer notes there is a $125 doc fee in addition to the purchase price.

@corvetteporsche – Is this the original clutch in the car? I noticed the clutch was "checked" in 2016 per a note on the Carfax. Thanks. Beautiful car. ...
Yes, it is the original clutch. It was checked during a recall fix to replace the driver airbag inflator. The clutch was OK at the time according to the receipt posted in the additional photos. Thanks for the compliment. I agree it is a beauty!!
