This 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT is a final-year two-door mid-engined sports coupe that has been driven 23,497 miles since new and is powered by a 2.8-liter V6 paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle. The seller has owned the vehicle for five years and has added a set of newer aluminum wheels, with the remainder of the car displaying its factory-original aesthetic. This Fiero offers an aerodynamic color-matched body treatment, a removable sunroof, power convenience options, and a quad-outlet exhaust. Finished in Bright Red over a gray cloth interior, this Fiero is now offered with the factory wheels, a clean CARFAX report, a window sticker, owner’s booklets, and a clear Ohio title in the seller’s name.
The Fiero mid-engined sports car debuted in the model year 1984 on the General Motors P-body platform, with exterior design characterized by hidden headlamps, composite panels, tinted taillamp lenses, a rear spoiler, and quad exhaust outlets. This Fiero from the final year of the model run is painted Bright Red contrasted by black body side moldings, side view mirrors, and a dealer-installed luggage rack. Overall condition of the body is described as being in good condition consistent with the car’s mileage reading.
Machined aluminum wheels with black inlays have been mounted to newer tires, and the black-finished factory 15” cross lace wheels with polished lips and General Altimax tires are included with the sale. Handling is assisted by power disc brakes, and suspension underpinnings are shared with other GM cars, leveraging a tri-link setup at the rear.
The two-seat interior is fitted with gray cloth bucket seats, with matching door panels, carpeting, and floor mats contrasted by a black center stack. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, power door locks, a visor vanity mirror, a removable glass sunroof, and a Delco AM/FM/cassette stereo. The seller notes that the sound quality is poor from the front speakers.
Instrumentation is framed by a three-spoke steering wheel and includes a 120-mph speedometer, a 6,500-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature, accompanied by additional gauges in the center stack for voltage and oil pressure. The six-digit mechanical odometer reads 23,497 miles, which the seller states are a true reading and is supported by the CARFAX report.
The mid-mounted, fuel-injected 2.8-liter V6 carried a factory rating 135 horsepower and 160 lb-ft of torque, receiving updates including in-pan oil filter element and balance shaft in model year 1988. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 5-speed manual transaxle.
Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
The CARFAX report shows history free of accidents or damage, with an initial entry in Oregon in 1994 and the most recent record dated February 2017 in Dayton, Ohio. The sale includes the factory 15” wheels on General Altimax tires, owner’s booklets, and a window sticker listing an original MSRP of $16,213 including destination.

I thought that we'd have a driving video by now. I know it's getting late in the game, but not too late to show us how it drives. Startup, drive through the gears, around a few turns, and makes a few stops. Always help to sell a car when we can see and hear it in action. A 5 minute cell phone video can go a long way...

@swilmoth – i do not know about the repaint. there is not any overspray i can see any where else. i do have the floor mat and they are in very good shape. the head liner does sag a little but when it sits in the sun it does not sag. ...
i have looked at pictures of cars with less mileage and they all have the same overspray.
@Oliverbailey – Thanks for getting back to me. I'm not sure looking at the Carfax it does show a few owners before your ownership. Pictures 27 & 28 do show overspray on the backside of the hood by the headlight doors. The paint on these Fiero's would not of held up all this time for a 33 year old car. Somewhere along the line with one of the owners the car was repainted. Also do you have the original floor mats that came with the car? They are very hard to find new ones that would be original to the car. Also there is no pictures of the Headliner in the car. Around the Sunroof the molding would shrink and the headliner would start to sag. Has it been replaced? ...

@Oliverbailey – Has the car ever been repainted since 1988? Or has any parts of the car been repainted? On the inside of the car are the cupholders and extra Arm Piece Bolted down or can they be removed as well as the divider up by the radio? On the Rear Deck Lid the Luggage Carrier was not an option on the 1988 GT? Is that Bolted on or can it be removed? ...
