This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 RS Sport Coupe has been with the seller since 2016 and is one of 20,302 produced for the model year with approximately 3,500 miles on a rebuilt and non-original drivetrain. Power is sent to the rear wheels by a fuel-injected 350ci small-block V8 bolted to a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission, 12-bolt Positrac rear end equipped with 3.73:1 gearing and Hotchkis Sport suspension. Additional features include recent paintwork, power brakes, manual steering and custom dual exhaust, stereo system and wheels. This X33 Camaro is located in Olive Branch, Mississippi and offered with a clean title in the seller's name.
A respray of Cortez Silver (cc: 69) was commissioned in 2015 while under prior ownership complete with twin black racing stripes along the hood and trunk lid. Exterior features include both front and rear spoilers, correct Z/28 badging, louvered rear quarter panels and chromed bumpers and trimmings. Underneath, the seller adds that a small amount of very normal rust is present on common areas of the frame.
Steering is mechanical from the factory while the braking system consists of power-assisted front discs and rear drums over a set of 18-inch 5-spoke Boss 338 wheels fitted in 235/40's on all four corners. Suspension was updated front and rear with a Hotchkis Sport system in 2017 featuring a 2-inch drop in the front and 1.5-inch drop for the rear.
The bucket seat interior is outfitted in black vinyl throughout with woodgrain accents on the dash and center console along with stainless hardware, black carpeting and Z/28 embossed floor mats. Standard Z/28 interior equipment includes a Hurst 4-speed shifter, heater/defroster and manual cranking windows and locks as well as a Retro Sound Bluetooth stereo system with new speakers installed by the seller in 2016.
Instrumentation comes framed in the stock 3-spoke steering wheel and includes an analog clock centered between an 8k-rpm tachometer and 120-mph speedometer which is reported as non-functional. Additional dials for fuel level, battery voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure can be found on the center console along with a touch screen Holly Sniper EFI interface mounted just above.
The engine bay is home to a 4-bolt main 350ci small-block V8 paired with a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission which was professionally rebuilt for the seller in 2018 with the inclusion of Holly Sniper throttle body fuel injection, Edelbrock Performer Air-Gap intake manifold, Lunati Voodoo series valvetrain and double hump performance heads. Additional updates include the original finned valve covers, a chrome "302" badged air cleaner, EFI fuel tank and pump, headers and a fresh radiator and water pump.
A custom Flowmaster Super 40-series dual exhaust system with electronically engaged cutouts can be found on the underside along with the aforementioned Hotchkis suspension and 12-bolt rear end equipped with 3.73:1 gearing and Positrac limited-slip.
The original body tag shows "X33" as evidence that the car is an authentic Z/28. Additional photos have been made available for viewing in the image gallery.

Are the speedometer ,clock,tach in dash have clear lenses (not fogged up)??? How many miles on the car total?
@Rubyred – What happened to the 302dz motor ? ...
I bought the car from a guy in Oklahoma that restores Camaros. He stated that the car was la local car and that he knew the owners back to the early 90s and the 302 was gone then. Sounds like the 302 did not last long in this car.
