This Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is one of 22,129 coupes built for the 1969 model year. According to its trim tag, it was manufactured on April 1, 1969 (I01) with a Monza Red exterior (974) and black vinyl interior (ZQ4), but it now features leather seats. Over the past several decades, it's benefited from several updates, including a rebuild of its original L36 427ci V8 in 1993 and the addition of power steering and new bushings and strut rods in 2015. The current owner has had it for the past 13 years and has documentation of the work performed on it dating back to 2003. Now this big-block Corvette is available with a clear title in the seller's name.
Dressed in Monza Red, this Corvette features chrome one-piece front and two-piece rear bumpers, pop-up headlights, body-color T-tops, and a removable rear window. It rides on a set of slotted steel rally wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The rear end features an integrated spoiler, two pairs of round taillights separated by lettering that spells out "Corvette”, and exposed exhaust finishers.
The third-generation Corvette entered its second model year in 1969, when Chevrolet changed the name Sting Ray to Stingray. Badges reflecting that change are attached to the vented front fenders.
The cockpit is furnished with black carpeting embroidered with "Corvette Sting Ray" in red and yellow along with black leather bucket seats with headrests, dashboard, and door panels. Equipment includes a 3-spoke steering wheel connected to aftermarket power steering, manual windows, Delco AM/FM radio, functioning courtesy lights, and storage pockets on the passenger side of the dashboard.
A 160-mph speedometer and 7K-rpm tachometer are positioned behind the steering wheel. A bank of white-on-black gauges in the center stack contains a clock and shows readouts for the fuel level, water temperature, oil pressure, and battery voltage.
The 427 badges on the vented hood denote the fact that this Corvette is powered by an L36 427ci V8, which was rebuilt in 1993. Hooker headers were installed and the 4-speed manual transmission was serviced at roughly the same time. The big block engine draws power from what the current owner deems a "fairly new battery." As one of the pictures in the photo gallery shows, the full VIN number is not completely visible on the tag attached to engine.
New bushings and strut rods were installed in 2015. The photo gallery shows pictures of the header piping, suspension hardware, and other components.
Documentation related to this Corvette goes as far back as 2003.

@FRSCARNUT – Hello, Can you confirm the windshield wiper door, all gauges and fiber optic warning lights function properly? Thank you. ...
Yes, the vacuum system is functional for lights and wiper door. The LED lights on the center console do illuminate.
@Y2Koolvette – I'm confused about the heads. Did I miss that they were changed at some point? They look like original iron heads in the pictures to me, but of course they could still have been changed. Its great that you kept the original exhaust manifolds, they can be tough to find with the right date codes, ask me how I know LOL. I had a Fathom Green 69 convertible with the 400 tri power motor for 20+ years, and had to find a lot of stuff to get it back to original, including the exhaust and tri power intake. It took years to find them. ...
I think the person was asking about the headers, that is why I replied that I had the exhaust manifolds.
Beautiful Vette by the way !
