Built on March 20, 1963, this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette convertible received a frame-off restoration completed in 2020. Finished in Silver Blue with a white top over a dark blue interior, it features the original, matching-numbers 327/300hp engine, power brakes, power windows, and a Positraction 3.08:1 rear end. Located in North Venice, Florida, this C2 Corvette is available now with service records and a clear Florida title in the seller's name.
A recently completed frame off restoration is well documented in photos found in the gallery. The body was repainted in its factory-correct code GM912A Silver Blue and features pop-up headlights, styling vents on the front fenders and hood, quad taillights, and dual exhaust finishers.
Two-piece wraparound bumpers are at both ends. More brightwork can be found on the wiper arms, windshield surround, door handles, rocker panels, and taillight rings.
The cabin features the C2’s signature dual-cowl dashboard finished in black with contrasting dark blue door panels and bucket seats. Equipment includes power windows, a 3-spoke steering wheel on a telescopic column, a Bluetooth-compatible radio produced to match the original, and a fire extinguisher on the passenger side. According to the seller, the period-correct Hurst shifter for the 4-speed manual gearbox was rebuilt at the time of restoration.
Instrumentation includes a cluster with a 160-mph speedometer and a 7K-rpm tachometer, along with gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. A centrally mounted clock sits above the vertically oriented radio which is stock appearing but includes modern Bluetooth functionality.
Power comes from an L75 327ci V8 that was rebuilt, blueprinted, and balanced. According to the seller, the engine is matching-numbers original, with photos of the stampings and other part numbers available in the gallery. During the engine assembly, it was treated with a 2-stage epoxy that protects against staining, fading, and chipping. It is equipped with ported and polished heads, stainless steel valves, a double-roller timing chain, roller-tipped rocker arms, forged aluminum pistons, and a solid-lifter camshaft. The seller states the cylinder heads, connecting rods, journal caps, and intake and exhaust manifolds are secured with ARP hardware. The engine breathes through an aluminized steel exhaust system and is connected to a Borg-Warner T-10 4-speed manual transmission that transmits the power to the rear through a 3.08:1 Positraction differential.
The front and rear suspensions and the steering were rebuilt with Moog components. Braking is handled by Delco components and stainless steel brake lines. Uniroyal Tiger Paw 205/75R15 whitewall tires are mounted to steel wheels with correct Corvette chrome wheel covers.
In addition to a photo gallery the seller has provided multiple videos below, and an oil change was performed in the summer of 2021.

C1 v C2 The real driving fun of a Corvette begins with imaginative engineering. Beneath those trim lines, Corvette is sporting engineering features that just plain add ginger to any driving. Take the chassis for example, Corvette’s new frame is stronger and more rigid than in models of the past. The new four wheel independent suspension irons out even the rutted trails, keeps handling steady, and maintenance is easier too with a battery saving Delcotron generator, extended-life exhaust system, and hydraulic self-adjusting breaks. Other ’63 innovations include Ball-Race steering and an adjustable steering column and wider wheel rims. Overall, the new Corvette’s weight is distributed in a different way. More than half the weight now rests on the rear wheels- a first among modern American front-engine cars. That means hare-quick maneuverability when turning and cornering, plus improved traction. The center of gravity was dropped over 2 inches by using a ladder type frame instead of the X-frame that had been used previously. This new frame allowed passengers to sit inside of the frame instead of on top of it. The frame utilizes a ladder with 5 cross-members, and it is approximately 4 inches shorter than the 1962 frame.

I have been a classic car hobbyist for the past 51 years from my first Camaro Z-28 to my present 1963 Corvette. This is in fact my first Corvette. I had always gravitated to Camaros, Chevelles, Impalas and Novas. I never considered myself a “Corvette” guy, but when I finally sold my Chevelle LS-6 I knew I wanted something totally different. I wanted a smaller car with classic lines and a heritage that is amongst the finest GM had to offer. I was very lucky to find this Corvette just after a few weeks of selling my LS-6. The man who sold it to me was retired and it was his “retirement” first project. Unfortunately he developed health issues and decided to sell to another enthusiast. He told me that he no longer had the strength to handle a manual steering car. I asked him why didn’t he just retrofit a power steering assembly to it. He was a Corvette purist and couldn’t stomach changing what was not original. I knew upon my initial inspection of his Corvette that it was the car for me. Completely original and lacking any semblance of modifications that would render it just another amateur project. The chassis was free of rust, the engine, tranny and rear end were original. I offered him his asking price and towed it home 4 days later. I took his project to the next level which provided me with a great feeling of accomplishment and all the way realizing that I was simply it’s caretaker. I am now willing to pass this Corvette onto its next caretaker. Although I have no control of who bids the highest, I have to think whomever does loves what I have loved over these past 8 years. If my Corvette does not reach the reserve I will retire any attempt to sell it again. I will continue to care for it as I always have and will will it to my first born. He is still in possession of his very first car. A 1979 Camaro built with a 305 and factory spoiler. My ‘63 will complement his ‘79 very well together. Ok, I’m done with my rant. Good luck bidding!

All factory body panel bonding strips are intact. You are correct, the gauge panel color is not OEM.
