Vehicle Story

This 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Cabriolet was purchased by the seller in 1997 when the car had 34,329 miles. Over the past 24 years, the current owner has only driven it approximately 10,000 miles. The car is finished in its original Amethyst Metallic (38A) paint and is equipped with a black fabric top that covers its white and body-color interior. It draws its power from a 3.6-liter flat-6 engine, which is connected to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Equipment includes an aftermarket Porsche Classic Communication Management system with a touchscreen in the dashboard and an automatically extending rear spoiler. Located in Malverne, New York, this 964-era Porsche 911 droptop is available now with service records and a clear title in the seller's name.

Launched for the 1989 model year, the 964 generation of the Porsche 911 had a more aerodynamic body than its G-series predecessor. This particular car wears its original Amethyst Metallic paint (38A) and features a fully automatic black fabric top, a third brake light above the automatically deploying spoiler integrated into the engine cover, and a single exhaust outlet that exits below the rear bumper on the passenger's side.

The seller states that as part of a July 1 service, the car received new black rubber trim on the front bumper and a full detailing.

The 2-tone interior is furnished with body-color carpeting, steering wheel, and dashboard as well as light gray seats with contrast piping, a white center console, and door panels in both colors. Equipment includes an AC system that was recharged in July of 2021, a Porsche Classic Communication Management system with a touchscreen, and a dial that raises and lowers the rear spoiler.

Instrumentation is comprised of a set of white-faced gauges that includes a 180-mph speedometer and 7K-rpm tachometer along with displays for the fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, oil pressure, and time.

Under the rear engine cover is a 3.6-liter flat-6 engine that was factory-rated capable of producing 247 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque. That sends its power through a 5-speed manual transmission and the rear wheels. An oil and filter change and a new battery were included in this car's July service appointment.

An alignment, brake fluid flush, and the replacement of the shock absorbers' bump stops were also part of this car's July service.

Service records are included in the sale.

@Sorensen – are those scratches on the rear deck or just light reflections? ...

There are no scratches on the rear deck-or anywhere else on the car-so it has to be a light reflection in the picture you’re looking at.

@akramtahal – Yes, there’s at least two pictures of the underneath of the car engine. Scroll through the listing pictures and there’s one from a slight angle with the tailpipe visible and almost to the end you will see one which is directly under the engine. Note that you will be viewing the engine pan that engine sits in. Hope this helps. ...

Thank you for the quick reply. I must of missed them.
