Vehicle Story

This 2004 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S coupe is a 2-owner car with 40K miles that has spent its life in Arizona. It comes finished in Slate Grey Metallic over a Black full leather interior equipped with power front seats, power sunroof, and a Bose audio system. The rear engine cover conceals a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-6 that received a new IMS bearing and comes connected to a 6-speed manual gearbox equipped with a replacement clutch. Available now, this all-wheel-drive 996-series Porsche 911 comes with its original purchase order and window sticker, service receipts, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear Arizona title in the seller's name.

Introduced as a 2002 model, the 911 Carrera 4S model of the 996-series 911 came with headlights rounded at the bottom, a redesigned front fascia, wider rear fenders, and a power rear spoiler integrated into the engine cover. This particular 4S coupe comes dressed in Slate Grey Metallic and features Xenon headlights, foglights, a power sunroof, and dual exhaust finishers.

As the window sticker indicates, the car is equipped with an optional set of 18" Sport Techno wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. Those are surrounded by Bridgestone Potenza tires and sit in front of cross-drilled brake rotors with red calipers.

The cabin is furnished with black carpeting, black leather seating surfaces, black door panels with contrast stitching, and a black dashboard with metallic trim. Equipment includes power controls for the front seats, power windows, an AM/FM radio with an in-dash CD player, the optional Bose High-End Sound Package, automatic climate control with air conditioning, and a glovebox.

The dashboard houses a centrally mounted 8K-rpm tachometer with an integrated digital multi-information display flanked by a 200-mph speedometer with a redundant digital display, a digital clock, and gauges for the battery voltage, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The digital odometer shows just over 40,400 miles, which the seller asserts is true and original.

For the 2002 model year, Porsche increased the size of the 911 Carrera's flat-6 engine to 3.6 liters. This 4S model was factory rated to generate 315 horsepower and 273 horsepower and routes its output through a 6-speed manual gearbox and all-wheel drive. The service records show the IMS (intermediate shaft) bearing, clutch, and slave cylinder were replaced by Murtha Motorsports of Chandler, Arizona.

Pictures of the car's underbody showing the engine and exhaust piping are in the photo carousel to the right.

Sale includes the original purchase order and window sticker, service receipts, both keys, and owner's manuals.
