This 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle is finished in Pagan Gold over a black vinyl interior and is reportedly powered by its original 283ci V8 engine, backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Modifications include a rebuilt engine, new paint in 2014, and replaced suspension and bushings. Located in Modjeska Canyon, California, this Chevelle is now offered with some service records, spare hubcaps, and a clear California title in the seller’s name.
The Chevelle was professionally repainted Pagan Gold at a reported cost of $9,200 in 2014. "SS" badging is located on the rear quarter panels and "327" badges with crossed flags are mounted on the fenders. The front end features quad headlights with turn indicators integrated into the bumper.
Steel 15-inch wheels are mounted to BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires on all four corners. Replacement suspension components were added at the time of the restoration, including new bushings and power front disc brakes.
The interior is trimmed in black vinyl with a matching dash, carpet, and floor mats. An aluminum-center console runs between the front seats, and there is Malibu SS badging at the passenger side. Amenities include an original radio that works, which the seller states is not hooked up.
Instrumentation is housed within a ribbed aluminum trim panel and includes a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads approximately 120k miles. True chassis mileage is unknown. According to the seller, the vehicle needs a new speedometer cable.
The 283ci V8 is original to the car and was factory rated at 220 horsepower. According to the seller, it was professionally rebuilt before being reinstalled in the vehicle. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via an aftermarket 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission.
Sale includes the original radio, which is not currently installed in the car, and spare hubcaps.
