Vehicle Story

This 1958 Nash Metropolitan is a recently-serviced two-door coupe that benefits from newer replacement parts for the engine bay. The 1500cc inline 4 cylinder engine is mated to a 3 speed manual transmission, and modifications include a new generator, voltage regulator, and fuel pump. Finished in two-tone white and black over a reupholstered interior, this Metropolitan is now offered with a clear Nevada title in the seller’s name.

The Nash Metropolitan was produced from 1954 through 1962 as a small, economical, fuel-efficient vehicle that was available in two body styles, a hardtop or convertible. This hardtop example from 1958 is finished in two-tone white and black, while brightwork includes chrome bumpers, headlight & taillight trim rings, and door handles. The front features an egg-crate-style grille the rear includes a trunk-mounted spare tire.

Polished Top Steel Wheels with Nash Hubcaps are wrapped in tires with good life remaining.

The interior has been trimmed in black and white vinyl with a bench seat with matching door panels. The seller states that there is a little bit of rust on the interior and the AC does not work. Amenities include a heater and a locking glovebox.

A two-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. Seller states that the odometer and speedometer are broken. The odometer is stuck on 91,688 miles, and true mileage is unknown.

The 1500cc inline-4 runs well, and amenities include a new generator/ alternator, voltage regulator, electronic fuel pump, carburetor, gas tank and fuel lines. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission.

@IamLostRU – Nicely original. The recent work would seem to be to make it fully road capable (albeit its capabilities at best are "dated" - and how one should keep it). Is there any reason that this car could not be picked up and driven (with respect) for days to its new home? And alternatively are you open to co-operate in what I understand are a problem/demanding automobile shipping times.....or even have any shipping options to offer? The video shows an interior with reasonable wear and in need of some basic cleaning/detailing. Is it believed the original materials - or especially by fit are we seeing a recovering/overcovering of some type? (In which case, what is under it). ...

In regards to taking this car “cross country “, I would not advise any 63 year old completely classic car on such a journey. Its great for local trips and will surely turn heads, old and young. In regards to shipping, I can help coordinate with car cargo transportation and will make sure it gets safely on board for its final destination to your home.
