1986 Chevrolet El Camino SS

This 1986 Chevrolet El Camino SS pickup is a true Super Sport example that has been with the seller for the past 4 years and is now available with a number of performance updates and 48,000 miles on the chassis. Power comes from an aftermarket 350ci small-block V8 and is shifted automatically while equipment includes power steering, power brakes, heat and air conditioning, aftermarket stereo and bucket seats. Performance updates consist of a new engine, dual exhaust, custom wheels, vented brakes and more. The car is located in Millbrook, New York and offered with a clean title in the seller's name. 

Finished in silver with black accents, the exterior features a quad headlight front grille, functional factory cowl induction hood, leather tonneau cover, aftermarket Racing Industries dual exhaust and oversized black "SS" decals on the tailgate and doors. The bed has been treated with Rhino Liner and the paint appears to be in good condition with the exception of one 4-inch scratch behind the driver's side door. 

Power steering and power brakes are equipped to handle a set of custom 17-inch 5-spoke chrome wheels with "SS" badged center caps wrapped in Federal Super Steel 595 rubber. The front disc brakes have been upgraded with vented rotors from Wilwood and are assisted by a drum system in the rear and suspension components remain standard for the model year. 

The interior is outfitted in tan cloth upholstery over bucket seating with carpeting to match as well as a black vinyl center console and black and gray dash and door panel pieces. Equipment includes a heater/defroster, air conditioning, manually cranked windows, an aftermarket stereo system and "Super Sport" trimming. 

Instrumentation is framed by a black and chrome, SS-badged 3-spoke steering wheel and consists of dials for coolant temperature, battery voltage, oil pressure and fuel level as well as an 85-mph speedometer and 6k-rpm tachometer. The seller notes that the tachometer is currently not in working order and that the 5-digit odometer is showing approximately 48,000 miles on the chassis. 

Power is sent to the rear wheels by a non-original 350ci small-block V8 paired with an automatic transmission. The custom crate engine came from West Coast Engines and was installed about 3 years ago with chrome center bolt valve covers, a finned air cleaner, an aluminum intake manifold and factory-style cast exhaust manifolds. The seller states that the drivetrain was last serviced approximately one year ago and will include both dyno and built sheets with the sale.
