This 1984 Mercedes-Benz 380SE has been in the same family since new and had its original 3.8-liter V8 replaced with a 5.0-liter Mercedes V8 in 2004. It comes finished in two-tone silver and dark gray over a gray leather interior. The cabin is equipped with a moonroof, power windows, and an aftermarket audio head unit. Available now, this W126 Mercedes luxury sedan comes with clean Carfax and a clear title in the seller's name.
The car comes dressed in a silver body with dark gray bumpers and lower-body cladding. Features include a Mercedes-Benz three-pointed star hood ornament, chrome window trim, and a luggage rack and aftermarket "500 SE" and "5.0" badging on the trunk lid. Pictures in the photo carousel to the right show a scratch on both rear fenders as well as chipping paint on the rear bumper.
Five-lug 15-inch wheels are wrapped in tires with black sidewall lettering.
The cabin is furnished with gray carpeting with darker floormats, gray leather seats, and gray door panels. Woodgrain trim is found on the door panels, two-tone dashboard, center stack, and center console. The left bolster for the driver's seat has a split seam, which exposes the padding inside. Amenities include an aftermarket Alpine head unit, power windows, and a moonroof. According to the seller, the air conditioning was removed as part of the engine swap. Additionally, a new electric motor for the rear passenger-side window was installed in July of 2021.
The dashboard houses a set of analog gauges that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, a clock, and readouts for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel economy. The odometer shows a reading of 211K miles for the chassis, but the true mileage for the transplanted V8 engine is unknown.
A 5.0-liter Mercedes V8 takes the place of the factory-installed M116 3.8-liter V8 and is equipped with blue valve covers, an air cleaner, and fuel injection. An automatic transmission and the rear wheels send its power to the road. The seller reports an oil change was performed in July of this year.

Included in the sale is the original owners manual.
