4k-Mile 2002 Ford Lightning SVT

This silver 2002 Ford Lightning was used as a pace truck for the 2002 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. It is highly original with less than 4,000 original miles and the owner states that it features its original tires and air cleaner. Under the hood is a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 2V SOHC SVT engine with an intercooler paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Interior amenities consist of suede seating with SVT black leather inserts, a six-way power driver’s seat, air conditioning, center and overhead consoles, and SVT instrumentation. This Lightning is offered with its original window sticker, owner’s books, an extra key fob in its original packaging, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear North Carolina title.

The silver exterior features the factory aero kit, a black bed cover over a matching bedliner, twin exhaust tips under the passenger side rear quarter panel, and fog lamps. SVT and Lightning emblems adorn the front fenders and tailgate, while a Ford blue oval sits in the center of the silver grille. The seller reports that the paint has been verified as original and does have a few rock chips.

18” aluminum wheels with SVT center caps are wrapped in what the seller describes as the original Goodyear Eagle F1 tires with the proper sidewall date codes. The suspension has SVT springs and shock valving, front and rear stabilizer bars, and handling is managed by power steering and SVT four-wheel anti-lock power disc brakes.

Interior features include gray suede upholstery with black leather SVT inlays, center and overhead consoles, six-way power driver’s seat, and matching carpet with "Lightning" embossed floor mats. Additional amenities consist of power windows and locks, air conditioning, and an AM/FM stereo with a cassette player and six-disc CD changer.

SVT instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer and gauges for oil temperature, fuel level, voltmeter, and engine coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 3,985.5 miles, which the seller asserts is true and correct mileage.

Power is provided by an SVT supercharged and intercooled 5.4-liter V8 with an oil cooler and original air cleaner, and it is paired with a column-shifted four-speed automatic transmission with an auxiliary transmission cooler and a Traction-Lok axle. An SVT exhaust helps the engine breath and exits through dual tips below the passenger side quarter panel.

The CARFAX shows a history of three owners and no accidents or damage. Included with the sale are the original window sticker shows an MSRP of $33,055, owner’s guides, a scheduled maintenance guide, and an extra key fob in its original packaging.
