This 116K-mile 1986 Mercedes-Benz 560SL roadster comes finished in silver with a fabric convertible top and a removable body-color hardtop over a maroon leather two-seater interior. The cabin features amenities that include air conditioning, power windows, and cruise control. Power is supplied by the original 5.6-liter V8 and sent to the road through a 4-speed automatic and the rear wheels. Now available, this R107-series Mercedes SL comes from a dealer with a clean Carfax report and a clear title.
The body is finished in silver and accented with a full-length pinstripe along both sides. The front end features a Mercedes badge on the hood, a one-bar grille, quad round headlights, and a black and chrome bumper equipped with amber turn signals and rectangular fog lights. Chrome trim lines the wheel arches and black and chrome side moldings run across the top of the grooved lower body sides. The rear end is equipped with horizontally ribbed amber, red, and white taillights and is protected by another black and chrome bumper. In addition to a folding fabric top, this SL has a removable body-color hardtop with a headliner.
Chrome Centra 31 wheels with gold Mercedes three-pointed star centers and Ventus tires connect the car to the road.
The cabin is furnished with maroon leather seating for two, matching carpeting and dashboards, and a black and maroon dash. Woodgrain trim is located on the center console. Amenities include air conditioning, power windows, cruise control, an aftermarket Alpine audio head unit, and a carpeted rear parcel shelf. The trunk is lined in carpeting that matches the carpeting in the passenger compartment.
Instrumentation includes a 170-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, a clock, and gauges for the coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and fuel economy. A standalone thermometer is located between the two HVAC vents in the middle of the dashboard. The odometer reads 116K miles, which is consistent with the mileage on the Carfax report.
Under the hood is the reportedly original naturally aspirated 5.6-liter V8. That delivers its power to the road through a 4-speed automatic and the rear wheels. According to the selling dealer, this SL runs and drives very well and shifts smoothly.
Additional undercarriage photos can be found in the gallery.
All entries in the Carfax report show that this car has been in Oregon, where it is currently located.
