1991 Land Rover Defender 90

This 1991 Land Rover Defender 90 was imported from Southern Europe and put through a frame-off restoration. The chassis was cleaned and painted and the body was repainted in Marine Blue. It comes equipped with protective plating on the front fenders, black vinyl seats, a new galvanized frame outfitted with a new Exmoor canvas soft top, and new 16-inch Wolf wheels set inside of BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 tires. The 200 TDi 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine routes its power to the road and trails through a 5-speed manual gearbox and permanent four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case and a locking center differential. Land Rover introduced the model now known as the Defender in 1983, when it released the 110, named for its 110-inch wheelbase. A shorter 90 model with a 92.9-inch wheelbase followed in 1984. Both variants officially became part of the new Defender lineup in 1990. This particular 1991 model received a frame-off restoration and reportedly has no rust on its chassis, body, bulkhead, and footwells. It was repainted in Marine Blue and features protective metal plating on top of its front fenders and a new galvanized soft top frame fitted with a new tan Exmoor canvas top that features roll-up side and rear panels and plastic windows. Other equipment includes a metal front bumper, reinforced rear corners, and Land Rover-branded rear mud flaps.

The vehicle rolls on a set of 16-inch limestone-colored Wolf wheels and BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 tires. A matching spare wheel fitted with a Traction King Radial tire is mounted on the OEM Land Rover swing-away rear tire carrier.

Inside, the Defender features black vinyl seating consisting of front buckets and rear side-mounted folding bench seats, black cargo area carpeting, brown floor mats in the front and back, a black dashboard, and matching door panels. Features include new front and rear seatbelts, manual locks and windows, and a center console with a covered storage compartment.

Instrumentation behind the four-spoke steering wheel consists of a Smiths 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows a reading of 89K miles.

Power is supplied by a 200TDI 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine and is processed by a 5-speed manual transmission. Permanent four-wheel drive with a locking center differential and a two-speed transfer case handle off-road driving. In October of 2021, the vehicle received an oil change and a multipoint inspection.
