Vehicle Story

This 1973 Ford Mustang Grande project car has been with the seller for approximately 24 years. Power comes from a 302ci V8 paired with a carburetor and is sent to the road through an automatic transmission and the rear wheels. This garage-kept Mustang comes equipped with front bucket seats, a floor-mounted automatic shifter, a Kenwood radio with a cassette player, and more. Finished in yellow over a black cloth and vinyl interior, this Mustang is now offered with its removed and uninstalled air conditioning unit and a clear New Jersey title.

This first-generation 1973 Mustang pony car left Ford's Dearborn factory with Medium Brown paint. In 1997, the body was repainted yellow. Exterior features include includes a body-color front bumper, an egg crate grille, body-color wheel lip moldings, a black rear spoiler, and a chrome rear bumper and coordinating trim. A patch of paint is missing from the passenger-side door. According to the seller, there is rust on the trunk and near the taillights as well as some bubbling paint on the passenger side. Additional pictures showing the condition of the exterior are available in the photo gallery to the right. A video below shows an exterior walkaround of the vehicle.

The car rolls on black wheels with a polished lip and tires with black sidewall lettering.

The interior is furnished with black vinyl and cloth bucket front and bench rear seating along with a black dash and carpeting. Woodgrain trim accents the center stack and door panels. Amenities include heat and a Kenwood radio and cassette player. According to the seller, there is some visible cracking on the dash, there are rips in the headliner seams, and the air conditioning unit has been removed, but will be included with the sale of the vehicle. Interior footage can be viewed in one of the videos below.

The dashboard houses instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer, a clock, a fuel gauge, and warning lights for various vehicle systems. An aftermarket 8K-rpm Sunpro tachometer is mounted to the steering column. The odometer reads 15K miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.

The 302ci V8 is paired with a carburetor and an automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The seller reports the car stalls, possibly because it needs a new carburetor, and has not been driven in three years.

Undercarriage photos are available in the gallery. Two videos below show the condition of the vehicle's underbody.

The removed and uninstalled air conditioning unit is included with the sale of the vehicle.
