Vehicle Story

This one-owner 2015 Roush Stage 3 Mustang is based on the Ford Mustang GT Premium and is one of only 20 produced for the year with a manual transmission and convertible top. The standard 5.0-liter V8 is enhanced with Roush Performance's 2.3-liter TVS supercharger. Official output is 670 horsepower and 545 lb-ft of torque and delivered to the road through a 6-speed manual with a Roush-branded shift knob, a limited-slip rear differential with 3.55 gearing, and 20-inch rear wheels with Nitto tires. The body is finished in Triple Yellow Tricoat, topped with a power-folding black fabric roof, and accented with Roush-specific parts, including high-flow upper and lower grilles, a front splitter, hood heat extractors, side scoops, and a convertible style bar. The black leather interior is equipped with a Roush instrument cluster; a serialized dash plaque; microfiber steering wheel; dual-zone automatic climate control; heated and cooled front seats; power windows, locks, and mirrors; and navigation. Available now from a dealer, this 11K-mile Roush Stage 3 Mustang convertible comes with its original 20-inch Roush Quicksilver wheels, Roush floor mats, and steering wheel; Ford and Roush window stickers; a Roush owner's manual; a clean Carfax report; and a clear title.

The 2015 Roush Stage 3 Mustang debuted at the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show in Las Vegas, Nevada with a 670-horsepower supercharged V8, a quad-tip exhaust system, and an adjustable coilover suspension. As its Ford window sticker indicates, this particular Stage 3 car started out as a Triple Yellow Tricoat 2015 Mustang GT Premium convertible with a black power-folding convertible roof. The conversion into one of only 20 2015 Roush manual convertibles involved the addition of unique cosmetic elements including a black chin splitter, side skirts, and a lower rear fascia with diffuser. The hood features a body-color center scoop with a black stripe and black heat extractors. In the front, air passes through a Roush upper grille and a lower grille equipped with auxiliary driving lights and flanked by side inlets. A "ROUSH" banner spans the top of the windshield. Black stripes and rear fender scoops accent the sides of the body. The back end is outfitted with a body-color spoiler, a black Roush trim plate between the taillights, and a Roush quad-tip exhaust setup.

The car features a new-for-2015 independent rear suspension and it rolls on black 20-inch wheels wrapped in Nitto tires, and the selling dealer reports that the original 20-inch Roush Quicksilver wheels will be included with the sale.

When this car rolled off of Ford's production line, it came with black leather seating surfaces, power-adjustable heated and cooled front buckets divided by a center console, a pair of black bucket seats in the back, black carpeting, a black dashboard with metallic trim, and black door panels. Factory-issued equipment includes push-button start; power windows, locks, and mirrors; cruise control; dual-zone automatic climate control with air conditioning; a drive mode selector; and a touchscreen infotainment system with voice-activated navigation. According to the Roush window sticker, it was modified with Roush door sill plates, a serialized plaque, and a black Roush-branded shift ball.

The Roush gauge cluster contains an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 160-mph speedometer, readouts for the coolant temperature and fuel level, and a multi-information display. According to the selling dealer, the odometer shows 11,200, which is in line with the last reported mileage figure of 10,951 miles shown on the Carfax report.

Under the hood, a Roush Performance 2.3-liter TVS supercharger increases the 5.0-liter V8's output to 670 horsepower and 545 lb-ft of torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential with 3.55 gearing send the engine's power to the road.

Suspension hardware consists of a one-way coilover system with adjustable height.

The original 20-inch Roush Quicksilver wheels, Roush floor mats, and steering wheel; Ford and Roush window stickers; and a Roush owner's manual are included with the sale of the car.

Four hours to go! Let's see if we can find this one-of-a-kind RS3 convertible a new home. It looks amazing but to drive this car is the real treat. Note this is NOT for inexperienced drivers; you can't just mash the throttle to the floor, you have to roll into it. The 670hp is one thing, but as supercharged motors go, it makes so much torque down low that starting in first gear without leaving two black streaks can be a challenge. It will also blaze the tires at highway speeds if you're not careful.

A couple days to go yet, I will be around if there are further questions. I hope this one can find a new home but we're still less than the price of a base 2015 Mustang GT convertible! This is a rare, low-mile Roush Stage 3 with a sticker price of $71,550 (shown in the photo gallery).
