This 1982 Chevrolet Corvette coupe has been with its original owner for the past 39 years. It was repainted in its correct paint color approximately 12 years ago. Fifteen years ago, the original engine was replaced with a 350ci Chevrolet V8 with Tuned Port Injection and the automatic transmission was rebuilt. The car comes equipped with the FE7 suspension package; air conditioning; power steering, brakes, and windows; and more. Finished in Silver Blue Metallic over a gray leather interior, this C3 Corvette is available now and comes with factory manuals, its build sheet, a clean Carfax report, and a clear Texas title in the seller's name.
The 1982 model year marked the end of the third-generation Corvette. This particular car is one of the 18,648 regular coupes made during the C3's final model year. It was repainted in its correct Silver Blue Metallic 12 years ago and features pop-up headlights, a front-hinged hood, T-tops that are reportedly leak-free, a spoiler integrated into the rear end, and dual exhaust outlets.
Fifteen-inch Rally wheels with Chevrolet-branded derby-style center caps are surrounded by Goodyear tires that the seller suggests replacing because of their age.
The interior is furnished with gray carpeting, gray leather bucket seats, and a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels. Features include air conditioning, a tilt and telescoping steering column, a center console, and power steering, brakes, and windows. Patina is visible on the seats and seat hardware, carpeting, and steering wheel. The seller reports that the radio is inoperative.
The dashboard houses an 85-mph speedometer and a 7K-rpm tachometer. According to the seller, the odometer has rolled over; true mileage on the car is 165K miles. A bank of gauges in the center stack contains readouts for the coolant temperature, fuel level, oil temperature, oil pressure, and battery voltage.
Fifteen years ago, the original engine was replaced with a Chevrolet 350ci V8 equipped with Tuned Port Injection. In addition, the 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive was rebuilt. The seller notes that the engine and transmission are strong and that the car drives well. A state inspection and an oil change were performed a year ago.
Additional photos of the vehicle's underbody are available in the picture gallery to the right.
Factory manuals and a build sheet are included with the sale of the car.
