This 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 SportsRoof is an R-code performance coupe that was restored approximately 19 years ago under previous ownership. It was assembled on May 13 of its model year and comes equipped with a Cobra Jet 428ci V8 paired with a 3-speed C-6 automatic transmission, a shaker hood scoop, Ram Air, air conditioning, power front disc brakes, and a Traction-Lok limited-slip differential. Finished in Royal Maroon over a black vinyl interior, this first-year classic Mach 1 is now offered with uninstalled spare parts, 20 years of restoration records, a Marti Report, and a clear Massachusetts title in the seller’s name.
Building on the existing Mustang pony car platform, the Mach 1 was launched for the 1969 model year as a two-door fastback with aerodynamic and performance equipment that set it apart from other models. This Mach 1 from that initial year was restored under prior ownership and repainted Royal Maroon. It features a Ram Air shaker hood scoop and a matte black hood accent as well as gold striping on the sides and rear. Exterior attributes include hood pins, a chin spoiler, fog lamps, color-keyed side mirror caps, rocker panel moldings, black rear window louvers, and quad polished exhaust outlets.
Chrome 15-inch Magnum 500-style wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires. Handling is assisted by power steering and stopping power comes from power front discs and rear drums.
The four-seat interior is fitted with reupholstered black vinyl bucket front seats and connected rear seats and coordinating door panels, dash, console, carpeting, and Mustang-branded rubber floor mats. Amenities include heat, factory Selectaire air conditioning converted to R134a refrigerant, a Kenwood AM/FM/cassette radio with a trunk-mounted CD changer, tinted glass, and a Rim Blow wood-rimmed steering wheel.
Instrumentation is framed within a woodgrain bezel and includes a 120-mph speedometer and accompanying gauges for voltage, fuel level, and coolant temperature, along with an auxiliary 8K-rpm tachometer. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 71K miles. According to the seller, the clock on the passenger side of the dashboard and all of the interior lights and gauges are functional.
The 428ci Cobra Jet 4V V8 was factory rated at 335 horsepower when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission and a 3.0:1 Traction-Lok rear axle.
Additional photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.
The sale includes uninstalled spare engine parts, 20 years of restoration records, and a deluxe Marti Report. Walk-around, cold start, and driving videos are available to view below.

To the best of my knowledge the engine is the original block, I have all the records of the restoration on the engine body and all other components. So yes I believe it is a matching numbers car.
