This 1967 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova SS two-door hardtop has been outfitted with cosmetic and performance upgrades including a dual exhaust system, a reupholstered interior, Cragar chrome wheels, and engine bay dress-up accents. Under the hood, a small-block 327ci V8 provides power to the pavement via an automatic transmission and a 10-bolt rear end. Finished in white over a blue vinyl interior, this second-generation Nova is now offered with a clear Oregon title in the seller’s name.
The Chevy II compact car went into production in 1961 for the 1962 model year, built on General Motors’ unibody X-body platform and offered in various body styles. A second generation debuted in 1966 with a more sharply-edged restyle, a semi-fastback roofline, and vertical taillights. This Nova Super Sport two-door hardtop from the subsequent year was restored and repainted white with blue pearl. The chrome drip moldings were replaced and all surrounding brightwork is described as being in good condition as a result. Body features include a sculpted hood, Super Sport badging, and a polished-outlet dual exhaust system at the rear.
Chrome-finished Cragar five-spoke wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires.
The interior is fitted with reupholstered blue fold-forward vinyl bucket seats with white accent striping, matched to the door panels, dash, and replacement blue carpeting. Amenities include a center console, tinted glass, a radio, and a vinyl trunk mat.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and a fuel gauge, along with a series of aftermarket gauges mounted at the top of the center console. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 9k miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The 327ci V8 is housed in a dressed-up engine bay with chrome accents throughout. Power is fed to the rear wheels via a console-shifted automatic transmission and a 10-bolt rear end.
