1966 Innocenti Mini Minor

This 1966 Innocenti Mini-Minor was assembled in Italy by Innocenti through a licensing agreement with the British Motor Corporation. It was previously restored and features newer paint, chrome bumpers and trim, external door hinges, a set of 10-inch wheels fitted with Falken Sincera tires, and a rear storage area with a flip-out cover. The refurbished interior features a center-mounted gauge pod, a floor-mounted shifter, and vinyl front bucket and rear bench seating. Power from the reportedly original 848-cc inline-4 is transferred to the road through a 4-speed manual gearbox and the front wheels. Finished in ivory over a red interior, this vehicle is available now from a Florida dealership and comes with Italian documentation and clear title.

To avoid the tariffs levied on foreign automobiles imported into Italy, the British Motor Corporation reached an agreement with the Italian company Innocenti, manufacturer of the Lambretta motorscooter, to assemble BMC cars in Italy. The first cars were delivered to the country in completely knocked-down form and were then put together. As part of its restoration process, this particular Mini-Minor was repainted in ivory, which is complemented by a chrome "mustache" grille, bumpers, and trim. As an Italian-market car, it features side marker lights in the front fenders. The doors feature sliding windows and are held on by external hinges. The rear hatch folds down to provide access to a lined storage area that contains a spare tire. The seller reports minor spots of surface rust on the car. The overhauled interior is furnished with gray rubber flooring, a body-color and red dashboard, matching door panels, and red vinyl front bucket and rear bench seating. Equipment includes a dome light, sun visors, a two-spoke steering wheel, and a floor-mounted shifter.

A wood-tone fascia surrounds the Veglia Borletti instrumentation, which consists of a 150-kph speedometer, warning lights for various vehicle functions, and gauges for the oil pressure and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 4K kilometers.

According to the selling dealer, the 848-cc I4 engine is original. It comes finished in green with green spark plug wires and routes its power to the road through a 4-speed manual gearbox and the front wheels. Videos of the car starting, idling, and being driven are below.
