This 1954 Chevrolet Corvette convertible has been restored both cosmetically and mechanically and garage-kept since, powered by a 235ci Blue Flame inline-6 paired with a 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. This C1 has been single-family-owned long-term and was restored with attention to factory specifications and details. Finished in Polo White with a tan cloth retractable top over a red vinyl interior, this second-year Corvette is now offered with promotional documentation, a diecast model car, books, a judging manual, memorabilia, service records, an owner’s manual, two keys, and a clear California title in the seller’s name.
The first-generation Corvette went into production in mid-1953 as a two-door, two-seat sportscar using fiberglass bodywork, a 102” wheelbase, and a roadster body style. This Corvette from the following year was subject to restoration and repainted in the original Polo White with an emphasis on factory-correct equipment and finishes. The body features mesh headlight guards, a tan cloth retractable top, and dual exhausts. The seller has provided detailed imaging in the carousel of the brightwork which shows some checking.
Red-finished 15” steel wheels with full covers are wrapped in Firestone wide whitewall tires. Suspension underpinnings consist of coil springs, a live axle, and rear leaf springs, while stopping power comes from drums at both front and rear.
The two-seat interior was reupholstered with red vinyl interior for the bucket seats and door panels, matched to the two-tone white and black dash, red carpeting, and floor mats. Cockpit amenities include a dash-mounted rearview mirror and a push-button radio, while the trunk contains a spare tire.
Instrumentation is delivered via a a 140-mph speedometer, a 5k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges for voltage, oil level, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 83k miles, although true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The 235ci Blue Flame inline-6 features triple carburetors and was factory rated at 150 horsepower. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a floor-shifted 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission.
The sale includes sales documentation, a diecast model car, a parts catalog, books, magazines, a ballcap, a judging manual, an award, service records, an owner’s manual, two keys, and additional memorabilia.

@CraigTurner – Having the original motor and other components is a very important items. Is this something you would research? ...
Hi Craig, my father- in-law restored this car to original parts, he was an avid car collector and believed in keeping his cars as close to original as possible (he had 56 classic cars in his collection). I am unable to verify if all the components are original, nor am I able to research this before the auction ends...he passed away many years ago. I hope this helps you with your decision, it really is a spectacular car.

Hi TomD, Thanks for the inquiry, sorry we do not have a video of the car starting and running nor did we take pictures of the undercarriage. I can tell you that the vehicle is clean and does start up and runs smoothly. Yes the gauges are operational
