This Gibbon’s body fiberglass 1932 Ford Roadster is powered by a small block 350ci Chevrolet and is backed by an automatic transmission. Features include chopped windshield, canvas top with side curtains, 3-piece hood with louvered hood sides, detailed chassis, tilt column, manual dual circuit brakes with front disc, and rear 4-link suspension. This Custom Red 1932 Ford Roadster with gray interior is available now and comes with a clear title from the dealer.
The fiberglass Gibbon's body is refinished in Custom Red and is built Highboy style without front and rear fenders or running boards. A steel 3-piece hood with louvered sides has been installed with a color matched ’32 Ford grill and insert. Chrome round sealed beam headlights are mounted low, to the upper front shock mounts just behind the chrome front spreader bar. The chrome windshield has been chopped, and the door and trunk handles have been shaved. The trunk lid is power actuated. Rectangle billet aluminum taillights, as well as a color matched gas tank with chrome spreader bar have been added to the rear. The oval dual exhaust exits underneath the gas tank.
A set of American Racing Torque Thrust II wheels with Grey spokes and polished lips, are wrapped with BF Goodrich staggered sized tires.
The interior is furnished with gray tweed covering a pleated bench seat and door panels with pockets, black carpeting covers the floor panel. A billet aluminum automatic transmission shifter is mounted on the floor just ahead of the seat. A black canvas soft top is included with vinyl side curtains. The trunk, with a power actuated lid, is upholstered with black carpeting throughout.
The 1932 Ford style fiberglass dashboard houses 6 round gauges with an aftermarket CD player stereo mounted in an aluminum panel underneath. A black tilt steering column is topped by a 4-spoke Lecarra steering wheel with leather grip.
The 350ci V8 Chevrolet engine is backed by an automatic transmission. A 4-barrel carburetor with electric choke, HEI distributor, finned aluminum valve covers, block hugger headers, chrome alternator, and oval open-element billet aluminum air cleaner complete the engine. The radiator is cooled by an electric fan.
The chassis is composed of 1932 Ford style outer frame rails with round tube center gussets, and removable transmission cross member. The chrome front dropped tube axle is mated to a chrome 4-bar and a single spring. The driveshaft, rear axle, drums, and backing plates, are colored matched Custom Red to the body. A chrome 4-link and panhard bar with coil-over shocks locates the rear axle. Full-length dual exhaust can be seen exiting at the rear. A rear axle pinion mounted emergency brake has been added. The body floor has been smoothed and painted Custom Red to match the exterior. Additional photos can be found in the carousel to the right.
According to the seller, this 1932 Ford Roadster was always garaged and covered, with no accidents since the build, owned and driven carefully by meticulous owners, never ever abused, and babied all the way! Additionally, the 'Custom Red' color paint, and grey interior are absolutely beautiful and in virtually flawless condition with no signs of wear.
