1967 Chevrolet Corvette

This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has been cosmetically and mechanically overhauled under current and previous ownership. The prior owner had the Marina Blue exterior repainted Rally Red with a black hood stinger and the blue vinyl interior fitted with new seat foam, dark saddle leather seating surfaces, and more. In 2018, the current owner had the body removed and the frame powder-coated. At the same time, they had Vintage Air AC, PerTronix electronic ignition, and other upgrades installed. Features include the original AM/FM radio, power steering and brakes, power windows, and side exhaust outlets. Power comes from a 427ci V8 and is sent to the road through a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. Available now, this last-year C2 Corvette comes with records and receipts and a clear Florida title in the seller's name.

The Marina Blue bodywork was repainted Rally Red with a contrasting black stinger that extends from the nose to the back of the front-hinged hood. According to the seller, all of the chrome was redone under their ownership. Exterior features include split front and rear bumpers, pop-up headlights, a driver-side mirror, side exhaust outlets, a wraparound rear windscreen, and quad round taillights.

Cast-aluminum wheels with red center caps are set inside of red-line tires.

In addition to the car's exterior refresh, the cabin was fitted with new insulation, carpeting, and Corvette-branded floor mats. The blue vinyl seats were replaced with dark saddle leather buckets with new foam and matching dashboard and center stack trim was installed. The interior comes equipped with air conditioning, power steering and brakes, power windows, a refurbished analog clock, and the reportedly original AM.FM Delco radio.

A black fascia plate surrounds the main instruments, which include a 160-mph speedometer, a 7K-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The odometer shows a reading of 63K miles, but true mileage is unknown.

Under the hood is a 427ci V8 that is not numbers-matching to the car. Under current ownership, it was equipped with a new electric radiator, a 100-amp alternator, and PerTronix electronic ignition. Output is reportedly 390 horsepower. Power is routed through a Muncie 4-speed manual gearbox with a Hurst shifter and a 3.36:1 rear end.

In 2018, the current owner had the body taken off and the frame powder-coated in black. They state the car comes with its factory markings in place. Pictures of the detached frame are in the photo gallery to the right.
