Vehicle Story

This 1971 MG MGB GT is powered by a 1.8-liter inline-4 connected to dual carburetors and a 4-speed manual transmission. Features include an independent front suspension, a hatchback with a rear defroster, wire wheels with knock-off center caps, reportedly like-new tires, and a newer stainless-steel exhaust. This blue MGB GT with a black vinyl interior is available now and comes with a knock-off wrench and clear Wisconsin title.

The body is finished in medium blue and has chrome and stainless trim, emblems, and handles. The midbody trim runs from the headlights to the taillights. The chrome front bumper with bumper guards and impact strips is mounted below the grille and headlamps. The rear bumper with bumper guards and impact strips is located under the taillights, fuel cap, and reverse lights.

A set of wire wheels with knock-off center caps are wrapped in blackwall radial tires. According to the seller, the tires are like new.

The front bucket seats with headrests and fold-down rear seat are upholstered in black vinyl. The black vinyl is carried onto the door panels and quarter panel interior trim. A white vinyl headliner can be seen above. Black carpeting covers the floor pans including the rear cargo area. Rubber floor mats with MG logos can be found in the front. The black dashboard houses the controls for the headlights, wipers, and ignition. A radio block-off plate and map light are mounted in a drop-down console under the dashboard. The emergency brake handle and 4-speed gear shifter are located on the transmission tunnel. The black steering column is topped with a black 3-spoke MG steering wheel.

Dashboard-mounted gauges include a 120-mph speedometer, 7K-rpm tachometer, and fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature gauges. According to the seller, the odometer shows 15K miles, but true mileage is unknown.

The engine is a dual-carburetor 1.8-liter inline-4 backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. Dual closed-element air cleaners, a smog pump, and the repainted valve cover, block, and oil pan complete the engine.

The outlet for the newer full-length stainless steel exhaust system exits under the driver's side of the rear bumper.

A knock-off wrench will be included with the sale of the vehicle.

Always loved the B GT. This looks like a nice one. The Queen approves.

@Rideklein – Is there a driving video that shows shifting (up and down with reverse) the gauges , turn signals, the horn etc.? are you additional photos of the undercarriage? Seeing the car in the snow makes a potential buyer concerned about Rust! Thanks, great looking car ...

There is no driving video and I can't make one because of road conditions in central WI. I have sent auto hunters all the pictures of the under carriage. All the gauges and signals work as they should. You are welcome to come look at the car. Putting a car out in a parking lot with snow in it does not mean the vehicle was driven in winter.
